This is the only residential building on the block and is centrally located - connected underground to the pacific center mall, the bay, and the granville skytrain station. The building also has a steve nash gym on the 2nd floor and 7 levels of parking. I would not recommend this apartment building to people with families, since it is quite noisy and more suited for young professionals or retired people. the apartments facing granville street can get quite noisy in the summer due to all the street festivals going on, and this can be a plus or negative depending on the kind of person you are. The average rent varies from 1500 - 2500, for 1-2 bedroom, furnished and unfurnished. The building is pet friendly and has 2 gardens - on the 4th and 6th floor. the building also has its own gym, party room and games room. There is no pool or theater. guest parking, although available, is very limited and you need to book way in advance. overall, if you can find an apartment in the building, get it ! It's a great central location and gives you the perfect taste of downtown living.

Finishings are above average but nothing high end so it's appealing to investors. Good floor plans throughout, and live/work zoned units available.

"It's like living in a five star resort..." - http://www.theberesford.ca/…read moreI have been living in the building for over two years now. It has been adventures. The one and only time that I have found the RESIDENT manager in the office, when I needed him, was when I first came to the building and had to meet him to sign all the documents. Don't expect to reach the manager by phone or get a reply via email. To be honest there is no management or anyone to control what happens in the building. Like, I said the manager is never around and does not care what happens inside the building. * The building website states that pets are not allowed, however those rules only seem to apply to some tenants, so expect to see dogs. Few large dogs. * The building has a party room overlooking the back entry and alley that turns into a mini night club on the weekends. Again with no one controlling what happens in the building, expect to find puke, spilled alcohol in the lobby, beer bottles and cups thrown in the back ally and left in the elevators, few packs of cigarette buds everywhere. * As shown in the pictures that I have uploaded, expect to see a pleasant pile of garbage upon entering the garage. Every now and then you will see a homeless person that sneaks into the garage and collects the recycling. I have seen cars that were broken into also. * Every now and then you will find someone else's car on your parking lot. Take it as it is, because the manager will never call a towing truck. So expect to see the same car in your parking in the future. Expect to see cars parked in the roundabout in the back alley, sometimes overnight. Apparently the 'FIRE ROUTE' and 'NO PARKING' signs mean, 'DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT' and 'THE MANAGER IS NOT AROUND AND DOES NOT CARE TO CALL THE TOWING COMPANY'. So for those that are looking for a free parking in Yaletown, now you know and ... don't worry about it! * The pictures on the buildings website show a fitness room with a medium size rack full of free weights and other equipment. Don't expect to find any weights. I never had a chance to use them, I presume someone have 'borrowed' them, which is odd since there is no sign-out book in the fitness room. There is a working security camera in the room, so I think you just need to wave your hands and lift up fingers to indicate for how many months you will be 'borrowing' the equipment. The free-weights have all been 'borrowed' out and no sign of new ones. * By the way, the fitness room will only accommodate 1-2 persons at max. * There is a swimming pool room that is connected to the small fitness room, the water is always VERY cold. The pool room sometimes turns into a mosque. Not to disrespect anyone's religion, however the swimming pool area is not an appropriate place of worship, especially in common area for every tenant to use. Moving on..., there is an outside patio next to the pool room, which is mainly used by some smokers and a large number of pot smokers in the building. If you end up renting an apartment facing the back alley expect the smoke to enter your apartment. But don't worry you will get used to it and hopefully you will get used to the drunk screaming and adolescent yelling coming from the 'nightclub' downstairs on the weekends. * There is no Security Building Guard in the lobby, but don't worry, to make you feel safe, the management has allowed and filled at least one of your neighbouring apartments with, 5+ single people living in it. There is STRENGTH IN NUMBERS! * There is a grocery store in the back of the building which is a positive, however expect to wake up at 6:30-7 am. For your convenience the delivery trucks backing up in the morning have excellent horns. If you use a car to go to work in the morning, expect your morning drive to begin with some tight and skilful maneuvering to get around these trucks. But don't worry if you are not skilful at maneuvering and/or are afraid of scratching you nice automobile, sometimes you will not need to do anything but wait and sit in your nice car, until the blocked alley is open again. On the positive note, sometimes you get to smile and laugh at how clumsy some of the delivery drivers are. Beginning in 2013, we started to have frequent visits from the upper management personnel. Every 4-5 weeks, expect to have a note under your door, indicating that accompanying the resident manager a contractor will come by your apartment for an 'Inspections of the apartments for maintenance purposes'. As told by the area manager, upon the first visit, the intention of this inspection is to find out if there are any repairs that need to be done in the apartment. Turns out that this is complete b******t. This inspection rather feels like harassing, since all that is ever done during this inspection is that the CONTRACTOR walks in and sprays the smoke alarm detector and leaves. No mention or any questions of anything else, ever! The upper management must want us to feel very safe. To know
