BEWARE! The owner Jeff Pelton is a thief! Here's the story, I own a home in the Catskills which I rent to my sister in law. When she passed suddenly and untimely me and my wife flew out to take care of the arrangements, Come to find out the roof had been leaking and she had been dealing with it and hadn't said anything about it to me because she didn't want to bother us. I Felt So bad! With the guilt I decided to hire a reputable contractor to re roof the house. I got several estimates and demanded all work to be permitted. I chose Jeff since he could accommodate my demands and start the work in two weeks. After we got back home in Ca. I issued a check for 3000.00 To Pelton Contractors for half which he required. Two weeks go by and NO work! So I call and he says oh we're getting there next week and next week no Jeff so I call and call and call and his answering machine makes this humming noise and I call and call but no answer. A month later a trailer shows up out front and sits and sits for 3 months. All this time no call no update nothing! Frustrated I go on Facebook and find his sons number and call and he says his Dad is right here and puts him on the phone. Surprisingly he says "OH we're starting the work today" and I say NO your fired please refund my money. He claims he did all this work and is not giving me my money back. At this point I waited until I come back to ny to deal with it personally. So I call Jeff when I return and he demands I remove my prior reviews So I do , and suddenly his phone don't work again? So here we go again with this No Thanks Jeff Pelton, You are a Flake, Liar and A thief with no character to only run and hide behind an outdated answering machine and steal money from customers.
