Guests are asked to store purse/bags in a locked locker (guest carries key on bracelet while shopping) -or respectfully leave purses and bags in vehicle. Items stolen were too large to fit into a locked case-but sadly not too big for an oversized bag. Next time you're in Wilmington look up this beautiful shop.

As stated by multiple others here in the reviews, I was approached immediately after crossing the threshold of the front door. The woman told me I had to put my purse in a locker by the front door. I told her I was not comfortable doing that and that if it was going to be a problem I'd leave. She looked at the other woman behind the counter who shook her head at me. I asked if they would rather me leave than have my business and they looked at each other and re-emphasized that I would have to put my purse in a locker. I told them I guess they aren't interested in getting my business and left. This was a Saturday, mid day and their parking lot was empty!! Also, for reference, I was not bringing in a large bag or purse. To the contrary...I have a tiny, crossbody bag that barely contains my wallet. I have never been treated so disgustingly in my life. These women are clearly not interested in the business of many as you will see here in the reviews they habitually make potential customers feel unwelcome and like criminals for merely stepping into the establishment! Don't give them your business!!!

They have great prices and amazing vintage and antique items. This was one of the highlight stops in Wilmington area and when I visit again, I'll be back here! Tip: Take time when here and look carefully. There is a ton of items shoved into corners, on shelves and hiding behind leaning photos. It's a treasure hunt. Some items aren't necessarily vintage but a majority are vintage, handmade, or older.

I place the 5 pieces I picked up on the counter and continue in the shop. I notice the cashier is trailing behind me, pretending she is feeding the large grey cat, but without any food in her hand. Weird. I find this nice blue & white vase to add to my collection on a bottom shelf & proceed around the store & ultimately to the checkout. The lady is still trailing behind me by the way by at a short distance. I get to the register and noticed she has returned to the first table I stopped at and is "counting" the items with her finger. She sees me at the counter & says, "oh there it is". Im like "excuse me?" She says, " I was looking for that vase, it's one of my favorites. You know I'm working on a display and that would be perfect for it" Insert eye roll and various curse words. I politely sat that vase on the counter, along with the other items I had previously sat there and explained to her that it would continue to be her "favorite item" because I would not be purchasing it or anything from this place. I think the owner should hire someone with culture, personality and class, not an old woman with outdated views who is rude and harrases people of color.
