Large space to have an event. Not too cold even by the ice. The concessions were reasonably priced, even the drinks. I was surprised. It was very loud so bring Loops or ear plugs if you need that sort of thing. Very exciting game but no fighting in the stands. The parking situation was strange. We were told to park at the local Walmart and ride a school bus back over to the complex. We had gotten there early on purpose for free jersey night but not having that information about parking made us later. We were disappointed that they ran out of jerseys before we got up farther in the line. We didn't have to wait in line long for the bus to get back to our car. The game lasted about two hours.

One of the few if not only ice skating rinks around town. I've also come here for Birmingham Bulls Hockey games. They are always entertaining.

The five stars are for the clean bathroom. Attended a wedding ceremony (a small cultural ceremony done for the bride before her actual wedding) and I found this center to be charming and efficient. The room was just big enough and comfortable enough for the party of 100 people or less. Lighting could be better for the pictures. They provided a dance floor and the chairs we sat on were comfortable and the tables spacious. Caters were given ample space to set up as well. Event staff were friendly. My car stalled while parking and the parking staff rolled jumped, and helped me get it parked. I think this parking staff were apart of Oak Mt Amphitheater. There was a huge concert the night of which caused a huge traffic delay. I'd recommend checking their schedule before scheduling an event.

I have been to the Pelham Civic Complex many times over the years (mostly to ice skate or watch Alabama hockey games) and this place has never looked better! Some MAJOR renovations were done after the Birmingham Bulls (SPHL hockey team) announced their return to the Birmingham area and that the PCC would be their home. More seats were installed in the main rink along with various concession stands and stands selling beer, wine and liquor. It definitely has a brighter and cleaner look than it in the past. Some of the smaller corridors and walkways can get crowded during intermission, but I think that's pretty standard for all venues. Surprisingly, it's not as cold (temperature-wise) as it used to be in the main rink, which is nice. This is a great facility to have in Birmingham and I look forward to attending more hockey games here! Go Bulls!

As a guy who basically grew up at Alpine Ice Arena, it's nice to have another venue to take my kids to. There are two rinks with scattered public skate times, but it's easy to find the schedule on their website. $7 admission and $2 rentals make this a very affordable activity for kids and adults. In fact, it's probably the best rainy day fun you can have. The rental skates seem to be in good shape as well. This is something that can separate a good rink from a bad one. As you would expect, they also host general skating lessons, figure skating lessons, hockey lessons, broom ball, and pick up hockey.

It's a Saturday night and it's full of little ones with skate mates running in the wrong direction and left to right. I went and talked to them at the front seat their reaction was sorry. Come on that's a horrible response. Not let me get on the mic and try and fix the craziness that's going on. People get hurt because of this. It's been this way the whole night too. If you are a good skater please be aware this might not be a good place for you. Very frustrating!

This place opens at 2:00 PM on Sundays so I decided to drop by at 2:00 PM to beat the crowd. Y'all...there were quite a few folks there. I was surprised to see so many people. Parking was easy. My admission was a bit lower because I had my own skates. It was $10 per person for my husband and kids. There were 3 birthday parties so that might be why there were that many people there on a Sunday. The inside looks like the skating rinks I went to as a kid, which was fine with me. My main goal was to skate so I could break in my new roller skates. I was pleasantly surprised by the music selection. It was a good mix of old and new school music. It was very family friendly. I didn't try any of their food or visit the restrooms so I can't speak on how those things. There were a lot of kids here. I'm going to have to check to see if they have an adult skate night because I did have to watch out for the little ones, but it wasn't too bad. Overall, I had a good time and I'll probably be back soon.

They were behind an hour before the pizza came out. So why did the drinks come out even later. Not so good experience for me and I am looking for a place to host my child's skate party. The party was supposed to start at 3 pm, but when I arrived at 3:30 pm, nothing had even begun. My sister and her guests were seated in the corner where we waited for over an hour. When we finally got into the room after 4:30 pm, nothing was ready! We had to decorate the room ourselves around the guests, and the pizza took another 30 minutes to arrive after requesting it from the manager. My daughter had turned in one of her Nike Panda Dunks for skates, but shortly after, she decided not to skate anymore. When she went to retrieve her shoe, the one they gave her was worn-out and dirty, and when they brought a second one, it was the wrong size. I went to the front to find the correct shoe, and they couldn't locate it. I waited an hour while they searched, and even the security guard got involved, asking me questions. When I pointed out the employee who took the shoe, she seemed clueless and disappeared after a brief attempt to help. The security guard informed me that they spoke with the owner, and his solution was to keep the other shoe and give his staff until the end of the night to find the missing one. I explained that we were headed to another event, and my daughter couldn't leave without shoes. The owner refused to accommodate us, stating I was being rude for not accepting his suggestion. He hung up on me after saying that was all he had to offer. At that point, I lost my patience. The owner took no responsibility for his staff's mistake, nor did he try to see things from my perspective. The manager made me go outside to talk, and I told her I'd be filing a police report since my property had effectively been stolen. Meanwhile, the employee who disappeared came back with her colleagues, and they took a break while the rest of the staff searched for the shoe. One of them apologized, but when I tried to ask questions, another employee rudely interrupted and rolled his eyes at me, saying, "It's not her fault, didn't we refund your party?" He clearly hadn't even spoken to me before that, as it wasn't my daughter's birthday party. It turns out, they had refunded another party because they had been waiting just as long as us without receiving pizza, drinks, or even a greeting. The entire situation was chaotic. After the police left and I realized I wasn't getting anywhere, I gave my address in the hopes that the owner would send a check if the shoe wasn't found. With all the stores closed, I couldn't buy new shoes for my daughter, so my sister gave her own shoes to my daughter so we could still attend our dinner plans. Thirty minutes after leaving, the manager called to say the owner had decided that if I bought new shoes, I could return the next day for reimbursement. I had suggested that earlier, but the owner dismissed it. I ended up having to stay the night in Fultondale to avoid driving an hour back and forth again. The manager was incredibly apologetic the next day, and they reimbursed me, but the entire ordeal was a massive inconvenience. The staff did their best, but the owner was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. If it weren't for the manager, Caliegh B., who fought hard to resolve the issue, I doubt I would have received my money back. I will never return to this establishment. And, yes, we missed the entire party while I stood around for over an hour waiting for them to search for the shoe. All the other guests had left by the time it was over.
