Well, do I have a story for you!
I took two pairs of jeans in to be taken up on Wednesday, the woman, in front of my was having problems with her garments- this should have been a warning. The woman at the counter told me they'd be ready for Monday, seems like a long time, but that's fine, happy to wait.
This morning- Monday- I went to pick up my jeans. The woman at the counter went on a scurry to find my jeans, searching the back of the store only to find the jeans where I left them. The job had not been started. She then rudely told me "well love, you shouldn't be here until 4pm anyway". So rude!! I had done nothing wrong and I'd given her 5 full days! Which is ample time to take the hems up on two pairs of jeans!
I left in a huff.
I was so mad that I was unable to enjoy or focus on my bi-weekly trip to H&M.
After being angry for 10 minutes, I decided to go back and get the jeans, take them elsewhere. I walked up there, ready to give her a piece of my mind. I asked for my jeans back, she didn't even hesitate, like it was something she does all the time! She started blaming the casual staff, saying they come in and stuff up the business. As someone who will fight for the rights of casual workers until the day I die, this didn't float well with me.
Casual staff are only as good as their managers. This was a reminder of how important customer service is! I hope that with the half an hour that lady now had free without my jeans to take up, that she will have some time to look at her customer service.
