If you're looking for an honest, dependable, knowledgeable, & professional home renovation…read morecontractor, I can't provide a higher recommendation than Jim Rice the owner of Jim Rice Custom Building. He's a NC licensed (Q.104901) & insured general contractor...yeah I did my homework... so expect him to bring a higher level of expertise to the job. I speak from personal experience that Jim is on the job doing the work himself or ensuring the job is done to his demanding expectations. He just finished our down-to-the-studs kitchen & half bath renovation in our 1980's built home....everything from removing outdated florescent lighting, popcorn ceilings, dropped soffits, a wooden backsplash, non-vented cooktop exhaust, improperly installed granite countertops and failing cabinets. The only thing left was the existing porcelain tile floors. We now have much taller solid wood cabinets, recessed & under cabinet lighting, spectacular quartz countertops, a properly vented cooktop exhaust as well as an intricate herringbone tile backsplash! Since we eliminated the cabinets above the cooktop, he suggested a tall narrow cabinet recessed into the wall to the right of the cooktop which provided easy access to the items needed for daily cooking. He's definitely a problem solver! Plus he replaced the frustrating wire shelving in the pantry with custom built shelving which provided tons of additional storage. With the removal of the dropped soffits, our kitchen feels much larger without adding any additional square footage. He also renovated a half bath that only had a shower and a toilet...no sink! Didn't get a before picture, but have included an after. All I can say is I'm in love with my dream kitchen and new bath! Reach out to Jim to discuss your project. I guarantee you'll be thrilled with his craftsmanship and his work. His mobile# is 252-626-6494 or mail: jamesrice04072@gmail.com

They worked with me to install a ridge vent where possible along with a combination of box vents and solar powered vents where a ridge vent wouldn't work. I gave Kate my list of services needed and she quoted me $475 for 7.5 hours. Now here is the problem the cleaner they sent Chole who cleaned very well and had a wonderful attitude and personality, she is the only reason they are getting one star. The problem was Chloe is new to the company and had never done a deep clean on the kitchen only and it took her much longer then anticipated. Now here is the kicker being by herself she only had a 1.5 hours to clean 4 areas upstairs. At 1p.m I attempted to let them know of my concerns I spoke to Lesyle who was a joke kept saying she was checking with Kate never heard from Kate although I was a new client and she knew I was having surgery and needed to have those areas cleaned. The bottom line is Kate comes off all nice and helpful to there is a problem then she is ghost and all you have is Leslye who has no common sense or business savvy just a buffer for Kate and not even good at that. I got a call saying Chole would be leaving at 4 which was about 20 minutes before and that I could buy more hours not taking ownership that what was happening, that learning training curb was not my fault. They are unethical and I think the whole situation was just about me paying for their error by purchasing more hours not that it took way to long downstairs for c Chole to be new, by herself and had never done this service before. They have a good rating cute ad but their customer service, compliance, and problem solving skills are horrible. There are better cleaning companies out there they are a joke!!!
