I have stuck it out at Pediatric Associates for a long time, mainly because I love Terry Kober and Baldwin. I feel those two are great, however the business side of things have always been horrible. The new Saturday is After Care is my breaking point. I have been doing Wellness Visits on Saturday without any After Care charge for years. The MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, are the ones ordering the shots NOT the Doctors , I have a Doctor in our office that came from Pediatric associates and she confirms that medical assistant are the one ordering the shots make your Doctor knows the Shot orders ! If you love your child please don't send them here , it's okay to take them for sick visit but not a physical or new born visit ! I am writing this review to inform other parents, regardless of the pediatrician's office they choose for their children. During our child's 3-year appointment, we discovered that she had received an expired vaccine during her 1-year appointment. While the physicians here have generally been good, with the only issue being long wait times, my family has lost complete faith in this practice due to an oversight that went unnoticed for two years. Although I do appreciate the phone call and apology on behalf of the practice from Dr. Kolbert, this was a negligent and irresponsible mistake, and it is entirely unacceptable. It has undoubtedly been a valuable learning experience. I urge all parents to always ask for vaccination expiration dates. read more

A wonderful clinic, but their billing department is an absolute NIGHTMARE. They billed my insurance incorrectly and charged me $600, which I payed. Then, after a lengthy discussion with my insurance company, discovered it was the fault of Pediatric Associate's billing department and was informed they needed to retroactively send my insurance company the bill. LOW AND BEHOLD.... 2 weeks of calling them and waiting on hold for thirty minutes (no exaggeration) at a time... I am unable to contact them. No one will answer, no matter what time of day I call. I will be visiting the clinic in person tomorrow in attempts to get this resolved, considering there is no other way to reach their billing. read more

although the hours are convenient, that is the only thing I like about the practice. the docs come and go so frequently we see someone else everytime. forget getting through to any staff at the local offic. and every visit there is an issue with the front staff it is just so hard to get anything besides a telehealth with this practice. At our visits for my children I had no problem with Dr. Baldwin. We went for completely healthy child visits. Dr. Baldwin asked if she could do bloodwork on my 15 year old daughter. I told her if it was the normal lipid panel they would do on her age. I told her I didn't want any extra test run because we have terrible insurance. She did a vit D3 test. After speaking to other doctors and my insurance there is no reason to do a vit. D test on a completely healthy 15 year old. Now I am getting a bill from quest for $242 for a test I did not approve. This test would have been $23 if I walked in off the street with no insurance but because I have insurance that denied it, I am supposed to pay $242. I have called quest and pediatric assoc over and over. They supposedly refiled it with a new code, but it was still not covered. Now I have just been trying to understand why this test was even given, but no one can answer. I will not return just because of how hard it has been to get help at the office. I'm certain anyone in this office would feel the same if this was there child and were needing to pay for an unnecessary test that They did not approve. I have been so polite every time I have called and they say... there's nothing we can do. I just want to understand and maybe be charged as a cash patient for this test atleast. Tried this office twice, both with disappointing results. Arrived promptly at the appointment time only to wait more than an hour with no staff interaction. The second time, I informed the staff that I was already 45 minutes beyond my appointment time and would give them another 15 before they lost my business. This was greeted with rolling eyes and a comment that the doctor would be in when he was ready. Of course, 15 minutes pass with no further interaction and so I left. This pediatric office is probably the worst run doctor office I've ever visited. They are completely disorganized. I can't even wrap my head around some of the stuff I was told while there. For instance, we were taken back to a room, room four. Then told to wait there because there were no rooms available. About 30 minutes later, we were taken to room eleven, which was identical to room four. What? It takes an abnormal amount of time just to check in, About 10 minutes just for them to ask if you have an appointment and start the paperwork. Another long wait to go back to a room, where the fiascos multiply and a lot more waiting occurs. The doctor comes in, and everything may or may not be explained. I was never sure if we were done, or if we were waiting on someone else to come in. I had to walk around twice to ask someone if we were done, or if we needed to stay. The checkout process is another waiting game. Today, all we needed was a PPD read. This literally takes less than one minute. We were there an hour. I asked two days prior, and was assured no appointment was necessary. We would have been there longer, but I walked out into the hall and started complaining. I tried to explain my frustrations to the doctor (Baldwin), but was shewed away. This made my blood boil, and I made it clear I would not return. Luckily, I already knew the results of the test, because the lackluster attitude of the doctor and staff didn't instill any confidence in the competence of anyone working there. I will not allow my child to be exposed to such substandard medical care. The lack of organization, non existent customer service, and bad attitude of the doctor has assured I will not return, and I can't recommend Pediatric Associates to anyone. Pediactrics Associates have been good to my girls. I have never waited that long but if we did it's no big deal. It's a doctors office and things come up so I get that. I gave 4 start for 2 reasons. 1, I prefer my children to see the same doctor or nurse practitioner with exception someone is out of the office. Every visit it's someone new and I don't like that. 2, the questions on the patient paperwork are really adult questions. I understand the logic behind it, however I do not agree with it. By far the worst doctors office I've ever been to. My daughter has been I patient here for an year now and not one of our visits had been met at the scheduled appointment time. When ask the lady at the front counter how much longer, I always get the "you're next" or "we're just waiting on a room to become available!" Even thought Dr. Hayes is an good Dr., my time is way more valuable. And since this office seems to not have any consideration about people's time, I'll be finding another office the take my kids. This place is Terrible at keeping appointments on their scheduled times. Have been going there for 3 years since becoming a foster parent. Overlooked it because of some of their doctors are good with the kids. However, One of their doctors was so clueless that asked me in front of my 5 year old if he had been adopted, to which I shook my head yes as to not let my boy know yet, then the doctor asked again the same question. My wife and I wanted to let him know at an appropriate time. That week my boy had so many questions and acted out in daycare and did not behave like his normal self. We let it go and had the talk with him. Other incident S we have waited for over 30+ minutes in their waiting room area to be called in to one of their rooms and wait an additional 20+ minutes for the doctor to come in. Once done wait 10+ minutes to check out. What finally made me go on this site and complain about them is today's "appointment". My wife called their scheduling number and booked a sick visit for my foster child on Sunday 8/29. Got the confirmation for Monday 805 am, 9/27. Went there anyway thinking maybe it's a typo on their end, because who the hell is going to wait A MONTH to take their kid to a doctor if they're sick now? Right?! When I got there, guess not a typo, my appointment was for 9/27. Drove 45 minutes to be told that I could get the 8:55 am appointment but not guaranteed to be seen being that there are others with appointments and a couple without ahead of me and had no idea when my child would be seen. I called their number and their automated answering service said I would get a call back within 18 minutes. Thank goodness I didn't hold my breath. I got a call from the front desk lady who had told me, she had no idea when my child would be seen, and said that I had the 855 am appointment. Hello!? That's not what you told me when I was in front of you. You told me not having an idea when my child would be seen. Uggh! Then, I told her to give me another date when my child could be seen,being that I have a job. She had issues with her "computer "and finally gave my a telemedicine slot for 750 am next day. An hour later got a call from another staff member and asked me why I called? ... ok. Explained everything and to be sure I asked if I was still scheduled for the 750 am telemedicine appointment. ... nope does not reflect in their system. WTF!?!? read more

Yes, the wait times can be long and that's annoying. But that has literally been my experience at every doctor's office I've ever been to, with or without my daughter, with or without an appt. Welcome to healthcare in the US. The doctors here are wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind. The office staff is friendly. The facility itself is bright and clean. I feel like people expect to be waited on like they're at a luxury resort. If you want that kind of care, pay for conceirge service with a doctor that makes house calls. We wanted to give this place a fair shot before writing a review. This is our first child, so we didn't entirely know what to expect. However, after a year of appointments we have to find a better clinic. Every time we made an appointment they had us wait for 30 minutes or longer before putting us in a room where we waited another 20 minutes. It really defeats the point of scheduling appointments. We spent a year dealing with this and every time they told us it's not usually like that. My recommendation: if you have anything else going on in your life then this is not for you. Expect that your appointments will start at least 30 minutes late. To be fair, one time we started only 10 minutes late - and we were happy with that visit. In addition, the doctors' favorite phrase was always "don't listen to dr google". It was troubling that this was repeated when we asked questions. It seemed that they didn't provide answers, but instead attacked the questions. We hadn't googled anything but the doctor insisted that we shouldn't look for any information on our own. I guess this helps their bottom line, but that's not the top priority for my kid. Really reconsider before dedicated time and money to this organization as you are likely to end up regretting it. read more

We chose this office because we saw Dr Wildcat in the hospital for the birth of our child and she is excellent. So far we have had 2 follow up appointments and we have no reason to take our daughter anywhere else. Office is decorated very clean and with bright colors. They have what I would call a quarantine section for sick children in the waiting room so everyone doesn't share germs. They are open 365 days a year with different on call pediatricians from around the Tampa Bay Area. Their nurses and lab techs are very professional you can tell they like working with children. read more

Run far away!!!! My son had a seizure and I called them to make a follow-up appointment from the ER. They wanted to see him a whole week after his seizure!! They wouldn't even get a him in. So freaking crazy. I am just in complete disbelief that they wouldn't see my 1 year old after his seizure especially knowing he's still not doing well. Super disappointed to leave this review. I have been going to this practice for almost four years and I absolutely loved the doctors and the practitioners here, but the new system is Horrific. Everything used to be done through portal ( or phone) and it was amazing! Now the portal doesn't work they have a new app that you can't do anything with. It takes about 3 hours for a nurse to call back. Also you speak to a call center now, you don't speak to the office, so there is a lot of back and forth when the call center does something wrong and it's almost impossible to get anything answered. Same with sick visits if your child is sick just forget about trying to get an appointment and go straight to a covid ridden Urgent Care. They are 100% trying to force everyone to do a teledoc appointment, when there are things you need to be seen for in person. It's just completely unacceptable. When I asked for full medical records and vaccination forms for both of my children they sent physical forms AND I only got it for my daughter! My son's still isn't ready and I'm going on a week without the proper forms. When I called about it they told me it would now takes 30 days to get forms. I just went to the place I am switching to and signed release forms for them to get the records for me. If I could give this establishment a ZERO star rating I would. I have been taking my children here for almost 9 years and this place continues to get worse and worse. At our last visit we had a 9am appt by 11 we had not been seen. I requested for the next available Dr to see my kiddos from the start and was told we were next in line. We waited two hours to not be seen. As I was walking out I had a nurse run to catch me to tell me that the Dr could now see us. I almost lost my job because they have no respect for other people's time. As a single mother who depends on scheduling these people need to be taught how to better manage their time. The only staff that has been consistent is one of the front desk ladies and Dr Baldwin who isn't all there at times, which is why we stopped seeing her specifically. My concerns always get disregarded and swept under the table. There has been many times they blatantly refuse to listen and sure enough I was right and there was a bigger issue than what they wanted to play off. Highly disorganized office. The sick and well rooms need to be switched as it makes no sense. The rooms are not always as clean as they should be. Just highly dissatisfied. I recommend this place to everyone with children. The nurses are so kind and polite, the decorations inside are fun and beautiful, and not to mention that anytime I've ever had an issue or mix up with them it's been resolved right away to my top satisfaction without any attitude or arguments (unlike other places I've been to unfortunately). They have even done an absolutely wonderful job sticking with their new COVID-19 procedures - all staff members on board and embracing it. They have a number of awesome doctors that are just great with the kids and really take their time to explain everything, really listen to you (the parent) and make sure you don't have any other concerns. My absolute favorite doctor here is Dr. Terry. My 18 month old has been going here since about 6 months, and we have another on the way that will be going here right off the bat! We've been coming here since my son was born and never have had to wait long to be seen and always have been able to come in the same day when he's sick. The hours are also amazing they are open so late! We've seen all three of the doctors and they are all very genuine and caring. They have really become like part of our family, they really know their stuff and give great advice (amazing since I'm a first time mom.) Many businesses are doing their best during COVID, but I can't say the same with this place. I have been taking my children here for over a year now and have never had many issues besides long waits to book an appointment let alone be scheduled for one. Lately they have been very inconsistent with their demands of how to deal with the families. And as soon as you question something the staff will turn on you and then sick the "supervisor" on you. Little to no compassion here for worried parents and their sick children. I had one appointment for a well check up for 2 of my small children and that night they came down with a cold, fever and runny noses. I check in that morning with their routine COVID questions and tell them my baby's are sick and was turned away from them getting seen because I came in on a "non sick" day...What?! Refused to be seen because of their ever changing "policies" I leave on the verge of tears then on my way home get a phone call saying they were in the wrong to come back. Wow. Another appointment in less then a month I had to make because my 9 month old has been having ear issues and needed to be seen and was turned away yet again because they demanded my 3 year old wear a mask which he panicks putting one on. I have tried to get him to wear one before for an appointment and he freaks out and before was never an issue with staff up front, they seemed to be understanding except just making us wait in our car until called back would've made it easier so we weren't in front of other families to offend if that's how staff felt. But this last appointment for my daughter was their demand and sicked the supervisor on me because the staff up front labeled me as disrespectful which I could clearly hear their comments about me. So yet again one of my sick children were turned away, because of their inconsistencies and I was not about to let them strong arm me into fighting with my toddler who freaks out over something being over his face. It was hard enough taking two small unhappy children to an appointment and as a worried parent trying to do my best expecting help to work with me received the complete opposite. In between those last two nightmare appointments I have been to two urgent cares and one ER and not once was demanded my toddler wear that mask or they would refuse to see us. Clearly staff and supervisor need a 411 on public relation skills. Never have ever experienced that type of treatment in my life, not once but twice in a month. read more
