We have had nothing but positive experiences with this practice. We appreciate that the office is "parent choice" and they have not been pushy at all with the vaccine schedule. Sick visits are easy to get same day which is especially helpful as other practices we had contacted we were barely able to speak to a competent human. I have taken my three kids here for years, and it has been a fantastic experience, every visit. I never feel rushed out of an appointment, and Dr. Thole and all of the nurse practitioners are competent and kind. I have never felt pressured to push medications on my child that I felt uncomfortable with, and they don't just shove antibiotics at you at the first sniffle. Everything is done with the utmost decency, in conversation, explaining things well and allowing parents to make informed choices. Firstly, I absolutely adore Dr. Thole and she has felt like a family member to me and my family for 10 years. She helped my son through some rare health issues and I came to trust her deeply. Unfortunately, due to some office policy changes, my last baby was denied as a patient at the practice. Additionally, we are no longer able to call in to get refills for EpiPens (a lifelong medication that we need frequent refills for due to poor expiration dates from the pharmacies) as they now require a sick appointment to get them. That would cost me hundreds of dollars unnecessarily when EpiPens are already hundreds of dollars per set. I am heartbroken with the new policies and the adverse affect on my family, as I truly have loved Dr. Thole and the amazing care she gave my kids while she was still regularly practicing. No one else at the practice holds a candle to the amazing care from Dr. Thole. If the policies are ever changed back to the way the office used to run when we started there, I would happily go back. **UPDATE: This review was never intended to hurt anyone. Our love for Dr. Thole is very real, but so is the hurt that the changes have caused for our family in particular. I have no way to contact Dr. Thole personally to communicate, so I tried a review to try to convey what has happened. If this was a rating of Dr. Thole personally, there are not enough stars to sing her praises. However, this is a review of the entire office, and the fact is that I have a baby suffering with an issue that Dr. Thole is an expert in and could help with, but because he was declined as a patient he is suffering everyday. This is a painful place to be as a parent - to know that the help your baby needs is right around the corner but there is no way to contact them for help. So my family is hurting in ways far beyond what was shared in this review. Again, not because of Dr. Thole personally. She is amazing! But because of the way the office is being run currently. Without fully understanding our situation or seeking clarification, they made assumptions that led to a CPS report for alleged medical neglect. Needed to have a copy of a physical form for my daughters preschool. called and the office said they would be able to provide one for a fee. Once at the office was notified of a charge from the previous visit (wellness visit). The issue is they claimed to have done two tests (eyes/hearing) , which were not done due to my daughter not understanding the commands because of her age, and we declined the test. They refused to acknowledge they billed for tests they did not administer and refuse to fix their mistake because they want to charge for every single thing they can. read more

We have been taking my son here for a little over a year. We switched because our previous Pediatrician had a long wait for well visit appointments and no availability for sick visits. This practice came highly recommend by two parents I know and trust with my child. We have had no problems making an appointment when needed and same day within a few hours when he has been sick. They take the time to discuss your concerns, all symptoms and natural remedies for certain issues. The front desk staff have been delightful and provided documents and information needed without hesitation. The reviews here appear to be based on personal biases unrelated to the actual care received. Don't come here and give a bad review because you were irresponsible and did not show up for the appointment you made. That is an appointment someone else could have utilized. Life is about choices and consequences parents should know this and children need to learn this. This practice and most others make it VERY clear you will be charged if you don't show up or you are late. I took in the forms I paid for the doctor to fill out to the EFMP office and was told they were useless because they were improperly filled out and didn't have enough information on them. What a waste of $25. Literally the first thing I asked is if they had anything useful to place on those sheets since they were not tracking any of my daughters medical history. Dr. Thole's sister Jennifer is the office manager, so she thinks it's OK to treat people horribly rude and sarcastic. She's going to run that place to the ground and needs to think twice before disrespecting people when it comes to their children whom she seems to not care about at all. This place used to be great but unfortunately they have someone giving them bad advice and have lost a patient. If you are 10 minutes late for an appointment there is a 25 dollar charge. More if you are 15 minutes late etc even if they still see you You must put a credit card on file which is fine. They bill anything your insurance does not cover after 90 days which is again fine. Hiwever if you lose your debit card or it is compromised and it is declined when they run it then you are againsin billed $25 rejection fee. Also you had to write down the CC number it was not stored in a system so there is no security with your information There were a bunch if other non consumer friendly fees and so we now no konger going to this dr office. My best friend is a family doctor who owns his own practice who thought this was ridiculous and my wife is a nurse practitioner as well. Not some poor schmuck trying to dodge paying. They do not tell you about cancelation fees or requiring a credit card (that will be CHARGED not just to hold and bill you later) or anything over the phone until you call back to cancel then they trick you with fees. I mean are we booking a hotel or going to the Dr. The front office ladies were beyond rude. The tone they way they spoke. I have been looking for a good bedside manner and caring Dr for my little one but unfortunately didn't get the chance with the DR due to the office staff. I will not go to a place where the staff is uncaring bc that reflects on the Dr in my opinion. Even the supervisor I spoke to actually said to me on the phone we don't see people unless they are serious about staying here. Not that I wasn't serious (at all) but I was being honest about finding a good Dr for my daughter. This is just very sad for a dr office, and a pediatric office at that!! Never experienced anything like it and I have 2 older kids so I've had plenty of experience with Dr offices. Got there and bc of the rude service I decided for my daughter not to be seen. I made a same day appt therefore couldn't call 24 hrs to cancel as their rules state, yet they still wanted to charge me $30!!! So I'm a single mother military veteran who doesn't have financial help. I used to love this clinic until recently. Their "policy" is to rob single mother's for making a mistake. I accidently called them and made a same day sick appointment in a panic when my child had a 103 fever. I was on my way to work and thought I called my works office's small free clinic that can do covid 19/Flu testing. I realized I made this mistake and I called them IMMEDIATELY back to cancel the same day appointment. I couldn't afford a 90$ appointment to do a test when my work's sick clinic can do it for free. So I spoke with a lady at the desk who said she run it by the manager and contact me back. I never heard anything for months and then out of the blue they charge my card I had on file. I disputed this with them and they said they make "exceptions" for someone dying or a flat tire but because I had taken my child somewhere else they wouldnt make an exception for me. I cancelled the same day appointment I made by mistake with in 10 minutes and I did NOT block that time from anyone else being able to use it. I bet they even got someone in that spot and made their money but they are still trying to rob me of $30 because they are being petty I took my kid to my works free sick hall when I was already on the way there. Jennifer, the office manager, is beyond rude and has horrible customer service, will not once call you back when you request it and apparently the Owner Dr. Thule is too busy to take 10 minutes out of her day to speak with a customer regarding these complaints. Take your kids here if you want but they will hold your card on file and charge it at any time with out even giving you the courtesy of letting you know and you can't cancel a same day sick appointment not even 10 minutes after it's booked. Now that we have insurance and your office is not part of the network/provider..., with that being said. We have to look for a new doctor. My girls has been coming to see you since they were babies. They are now 7 and 9 years old. Dr. Thole takes her time talking to the kids and us parents. She answer every questions that we have. Dr. Heather Thole is the absolute BEST! We love her! I feel like I'm catching up with a friend when we go to my daughters appointments. She's very down to earth and extremely "pro-parent's choice." I never have to wait. We are called back within 5 minutes of arriving and we don't wait long in the exam room either. She spends a lot of time with her patients and truly cares about them. They have always gotten me in with someone within an hour or two of me calling for a sick visit. Highly recommend Dr. Thole! read more

I told them my primary concern was her liver. They only looked at her toe and told me they couldn't give me a script to get her blood drawn. Dr Thole is pediatrician to our two boys (7 and 2). She is great! We are always able to get an appointment when we need one and we are always welcome to call and speak to a nurse if we have a question about whether our kids need to be seen or not. Dr Thole is one of the few doctors we have seen that has been approachable and does not make us feel rushed. When she is in the room with us, I feel like we have her undivided attention. She is very kid friendly and parent friendly as well. We have high expectations and aren't afraid to shop around when it comes to caring for our children. We moved to this area almost two years ago and our last pediatrician set the bar very high. I feel like Dr Thole meets and exceeds our expectations. read more

I have never in my entire life experienced such nastiness and blatant disrespect from a pediatrician's office as I have experienced today. My ONE YEAR OLD daughter was sick today and your receptionist was just outright nasty and mean, and refused to see my daughter because there was a "$70 balance" on my account from yesterday. I called my insurance company and they said it should only be $20 and all they had to do was call in the insurance to verify the account, but she refused to call the insurance company and said no, we'll just refund you the money afterwards. How about parents that do not have that type of money? Will they just be turned away because you are too lazy to do your job and call the insurance company? I have never ever dealt with anything like this in my entire life! You deal with children on a daily basis and this is the way you behave? She has a bad attitude all the time, never smiles and has a face like the world stinks. The world does not stink - your attitude is what stinks. PARENTS BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE. I've been seeing Wee Care for Kids with Dr. Those as my sons' pediatrician for going on TEN years. There is never a wait for a scheduled appointment. If my appointment is at 8am, I am in at 8am. She LISTENS, remembers us and our unique situations, and never rushes us. That's because she takes into consideration that she can help more patients by taking time with us, rather than overbooking. She does not overbook. She does set aside a few hours a week for emergency pop ins, but if you want to see Dr. Thole it's best to schedule as far in advance for well visits. Sick visits might mean you see a different practitioner at the office, but I've lucked out and gotten her a few of those times. And her office waiting area is separated into sick area and well area, always has Disney movies playing and the rooms are bright, clean and decorated for kids. There is no other pediatrician like Wee Care and Dr. Thole. I wish she was my own doctor, not just my kids! read more

Excellent staff! Got in quickly and Dr. Toley was very good with the kids and fabulous physician!

First, they over-charge. An example would be the $30 they charged us for an in-office breathing treatment. This was after we bought the actual machine and I gave my daughter the treatment MYSELF! This charge was more than her entire breathing meds prescription. Next, they told me when I scheduled an appt. (which I told them would be too early for me to attend because of work), that if I called the morning of they could get me in at 5:00PM. So I called the morning of as instructed by front office staff and no appt. available. So now they are charging me a $30 cancellation fee. Conveniently, this is right after they asked for a card on file for "charges". What shady, shady business practices! It is too bad because we love their medical staff. If you care about your child's health DO NOT bring them to Dr. Heather Thole. Her wife, Jennifer, is the office manager and she is absolutely outrageous! I have never been spoken to by anyone the way I have been spoken to by her. After several appointments where I was overbilled, treated poorly by not only the office staff but Dr. Thole herself, I have found a new pediatrician. Thole's office has not sent my children's medical records to the new physician after several formal requests. They threatened to bill me. At this point, they are holding my medical records hostage and I will be reporting them to the Florida Department of Health. I have a Master's Degree in nursing and have worked will countless amazing physicians throughout my career. Heather Thole is not one of them. She does not return phone calls, she does not cooperate with my daycare, she basically can't be bothered. It's like she thinks she walks on water and it all comes down to money. This certainly isn't Dr. Oz folks. I was having a conversation with a physician last week and he asked me who my pediatrician was. When I told him Heather Thole his response was "She's a nut. Find someone else." In my opinion, if you don't like children, don't become a pediatrician. If you have taken the time to read this, consider yourself warned. Dr. Thole is absolutely wonderful! She and her staff are knowledgable, caring, and considerate. We have always been able to get in for same day sick visits, and can't thank her and her staff enough for their quick call-backs on the rare occasion when we had an after-hours serious concern. Dr. Thole makes our children feel at ease during their appointments - she has always been wonderful with all of our wellcare and sick visits. Her staff is courteous, kind, and patient. Her office is immaculate, and our kids love the colorful and fun decor. We've found her billing department to be incredibly honest and forthright, her scheduling staff to be helpful and accommodating, and her nurses and fellow dr to be intelligent, proactive, and compassionate, just as she is. We are truly blessed to have never had any serious medical issues in our family, but having Dr. Thole guide us through the normal ups and downs of pediatric health, and knowing we trust her fully if we ever did encounter something more serious, has been wonderfully reassuring.
