They wouldn't even begin filing any paperwork until they had received all $10,000. Due to money transfer limits on my debit card I was only able to get them $9,990 on a Friday and the remaining $100 on the following Monday. That $100 prevented them from doing any work on my case. He also claims that he will provide a "vigorous defense". I was not aware of Mr. Zanol doing ANYTHING in a vigorous manner. Although I retained him on Jan 1 he did not, according to his secretary, begin to work on my case until the week before trial. He filed no motions to suppress evidence, although there was certainly grounds to do so, he said so during our initial consultation. I could best describe his courtroom manner as "prosecutor's bitch". When all was said and done I ended up with the deal that the prosecutor had offered before I even MET Michael Zanol. And that cost me $5,000 when I could have gotten it for free. $5,000 was returned to me since we never went to trial. By the time came to make that decision I had lost all confidence in his ability to provide me with an adequate defense during a trial. His appearance was that of a Santa Claus who had let himself go. As far as I could determine he owned two old ill-fitting sport coats with ugly ties. Easily the worst-dressed person in the courtroom barring the inmates. I would not recommend retaining this guy for anything other than a parking ticket if it was 1/2 off.

They did not even read the evidence or paperwork I sent them and were unprepared for court. They did not meet with or interview witnesses and never answered emails. They always pawned us off on their assistant, but she then delayed answering our emails for weeks saying she was waiting on the Trues.. and then she unexpectedly quit days before our trial without even notifying us.
