Working with the school system had its challenges. We felt that we needed someone to help us in the process to ensure we were properly advocating for our son and getting the appropriate services he needed. I started to research Advocates and found My Educational Solutions. We met with Krista and instantly knew we had found a match. While working through the process, Krista and her team were invaluable! They had patience with us and explained every step-in detail. Her staff has talked me off the ledge on more than one occasion. Amanda and Lauren along with Krista were extremely professional and caring of our situation. We had a meeting before the big IEP meeting to ensure we were all on the same page. During the meeting Krista was AMAZING! We just let her do her thing and, in the end, we got everything we wanted and then some. Fast forward 1 year. Our son is doing phenomenal. Communication was inconsistent--appointments were missed or late--and there was no follow-up. I only learned two weeks after the PPT that I had run out of time for one. Her tone in the meeting was not collaborative, which she indicated was her approach. I wouldn't recommend if you are out of state.
