Great food. Can't be beat for a take out. Lots of ice cream choices as well. Puts Paradise NS on the map. My favorite place for haddock bits and fries!! Seasonal. Tried this place again the other day and I was disappointed, the fries and coleslaw were fine, but the clams weren't very good and the tartar sauce was disgusting, probably rotten, the clams and fries were cheaper than other places but not nearly as good. read more

This is a little "Casse-Croute" off the beaten track in Nova Scotia. It's in a small town called Paradise, how ironic I felt like was in paradise as I bit into some fried oysters. The food is great, the frying batter is very light, especially on the Haddock. My favorite plate however was seafood plate, it came with scallops, oysters, muscles and haddock on a bed of fries. So delicious! The last great part about this joint is that they even serve dessert! The having many different flavored ranging from soft ice cream to normal ice cream. If you are close the Bay of Fundy side, or in the area I definitely suggest checking this place out. You won't be disappointed! read more

I've been here many times over many years. They have had the reputation of a vantastic roadside stop where people would come from as far away as Halifax, but that has changed. Over the last few years the staff and the product has declined severely. I can't give any more than 2 stars unless they pick up the service and products. For example the haddie bits have been rubbery from overcooking, not to mention the clams, damm inedible. The burgers are another matter. There isn't enough burger to satisfy more than a 5 year old. read more

My wife and I went there a few weeks ago after reading reviews about this place. What a huge mistake. I ordered the fisherman's platter. What a disaster. What they put on my plate, I could have went to any grocery store, into their freezer section and cooked what they gave me. The scallops were bay scallops from a bag. The shrimp were frozen from a bag also the clams and fries. If I had known, I would have went home and made myself the same thing but it would have tasted much better. My wife ordered a chocolate ice cream( hard). As she was eating it bits of ice was coming out of it. When we looked at it, we could se pieces of ice throughout it making me think it was left over from last season. Needless to say I will never return to This establishment again. I don't know how they got these good reviews when their food sucks!!!! read more

Fish burger = delicious. Hamburger = ok. Home made. Fried haddock = delicious. French fries = meh. The only thing I could suggest to make this place better is home made fries. It is a tad expensive for frozen fries. Seems like a very popular place. it was very busy when we were there and service is very quick. We especially liked the picnic tables out back. We stopped in for luncheon. My wife had the Haddie bits and I had the Fish and Chips. Great food, tremendous portions. We both avoided the fries and were given extra helpings of Cole Slaw as a substitute. Very good. We passed back through later in the day and stopped again for ice cream. We both ordered the Baby sized cones. Again, it was a big helping of good ice cream. Picnic tables under shade trees. Loved the place. Great food, pleasant setting, TREMENDOUS value. read more

Worth the drive from anywhere! The fish and chips are amazing. I've tried a few other things from the menu and they were disappointing, stick to the fish and chips! A great place for classic takeout fish and chips. Their ice cream is also very good including the flavoured soft serve which if something you don't see very often. Make sure to give yourself a bit of time for dinner as this place is popular and often very busy. read more

I was starving when we drove by this place. There were fifty million cars there, so I figured it couldn't be bad. I wasn't wrong, it was the best fish and chips I've had since we waited in line for an hour at a place in PEI. It was a greasy and delicious plate of fries and fish and exactly what you want in a roadside grease-pit. So good. Muh... Local hot spot of mediocrity. Burgers aren't bad, just nothing special. Would be nice to have a little more choice on the toppings and maybe some quality buns (Wunder Bread just does not cut it anymore). The fries, well just don't bother. Good milkshakes. We were very disappointed with our fish and chips today. In the past the fries were homemade and not frozen. Just can't do that if you want good fish and chips. Also the fish was not as fresh and batter over cooked. read more
