Apart from fruit and veg, they also sell dairy produce and locally sourced meat. They have a good selection of wholefoods such as pulses, rice, cous-cous etc. and have Fairtrade Organic Palestinian olive oil. You can also buy things like Ecover washing powder and loo roll. In addition there is a selection of delicious homemade bread. Since discovering this shop which is bigger inside than it looks from the road, I have almost stopped relying on supermarkets. Tim, the owner and Rachel who works there most days are friendly and helpful and always make a visit there a pleasant experience. There is absolutely nothing pretentious or superficial about this place, it is good ,wholesome food at affordable prices for those that care about what they eat and what its effect is on our environment is.

The display of fresh meat was an inspiration with the butchers able to tell us where the meat all came from - they are mainly supplied by small independent local producers and the quality is obvious. We picked up various cuts of chicken, pork, beef and lamb and let me assure you that we ate well that night. The butcher was very helpful in making suggestions. They also have a counter selling local produce like cheese and home made faggots and cured meats. I was tempted by the local cheese but eventually settled for some home made pork scratchings. We also snaffled some fresh Cornish pasties warm straight out of the oven. They were lovely and full of spicy pepper flavour. A further cupboard is full of sauces and preserves. Staff were friendly, and they offer online purchases and deliveries too. Considering its a farm shop and the 'middle man' is supposed to have been cut out, some of the prices were steep. Not all produce was fresh- the runner beans were slightly brown and bendy and there were withering potatoes. Majority was lovely though.
