We own a busy vacation rental property in Canmore, Alberta and hired Gisele (owner) at Rocky Mountain Concierge to handle our guest turnovers and cleaning. The two times she "cleaned' our home will be the last. When we initially met with Gisele to provide us an estimate of the costs to perform the services we required, she appeared rushed and ended our visit complaining about the front desk staff at the building next to ours and how "no one dares question her when she arrives on site." It was strange, but we decided to leave that aside and hire her anyways as she made many promises of excellent service that we felt we could look past her personality for. She also prided herself in "bringing over staff" from Africa and other third world countries in which she claims to teach them english and provide them a job at her company. Again, we thought that was a bit unusual as we know there are strict government rules for temporary foreign workers in Canada, but we assumed she has been following the correct legal routes for her staff and left it at that. The first time Gisele cleaned our home the following issues were discovered and brought to her attention immediately via phone call and text with pictures of the issues- garbage was left on the floor, coffee maker was filthy, towels were not dried and were hung back up wet, and in the case of the bath mat, it was sopping wet. Gisele not only did not apologize for the lack of service, she argued with us and outright blamed us for "planting the garbage" and putting our own fingerprints on the coffee maker to frame her staff.. Absurd and verging on insane. Overall we were disappointed, but decided to give her business another chance as maybe this reaction was just a one off. One of the important components to a vacation rental turnover is checking for any damages after guests have checked out. This is to ensure that the owner has time to make claims against the vacation renters damage deposit. During the second time Gisele's company cleaned after we had a guest check out (after the first instance above), they missed a large chunk of wood missing from my coffee table from damage from guests that had checked out that day. When I raised this with Gisele, her response was not only unprofessional, but it was rude, disrespectful and down right abusive. I called her to discuss the concern I had that she had not noticed this significant damage, and she proceeded to raise her voice at me, yell over me, tell me "I don't need your shit" and then hang up the phone. I attempted to call her back two separate times to which she would not answer the phone to discuss the issue and instead took to email. The emails she wrote us are the most abusive, irate and irrational emails I have ever seen. After her conduct on the phone and her refusal to return my call, I sent her an email terminating her services. We run a busy high-end nightly rental business and need cleaning to be top notch. In her response, Gisele questioned my religion, attacked me personally and said she "had a bad feeling" about me and my husband from our initial meeting, and so on. Her emails are ridden with insults and personal attacks, and have little to nothing to do with the issues and concerns we raised on the service issues from her company during our two cleans. We are shocked. My husband also attempted to contact her to discuss the issue as her conduct was so far out of line it was verging on harassment and threats. She screamed at him on the phone, called us racists, and hung up on him. She then texted him back with texts full of personal attacks, accusing us of being bad, horrible people. Honestly, its not the fact that the items were missed as much as it is the way Gisele dealt with our concerns. Had she handled them appropriately and professionally, we could have accepted the mistakes and worked through it. Her lack of tact shines through when you raise a concern with her. Gisele's aggression and personal attacks are nothing like I have ever experienced. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
