My first review was when I became a new patient at Peak Dental, now I can share how my first procedure went, as you can see the stars gives it away for sure. Walking in Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Marie welcomed me and got me checked in. Then Ms. Lacey came and brought me back she had me take a seat and explained what was going to happen. The purple napkin and the silly jelly with some gauze. That sat on there for a few minutes and then Doctor Yarborough she came in and said good morning and talked about what was gonna happen before it did but like in a way that I could understand. Then it was time to have the numbing shot, which unfortunately, for me is the worst part, thankfully this is a place with amazing people where they don't see it as that instead they see it as someone being a brave person that's just really nervous. And they find ways to help people get through that whether if it's with laughing gas, it's with iv sedation it's with medicine or in my case with turning on the TV and having somebody stay in the room and just talk and hold your hands. And that's exactly what happened for Me , Fuller house on the TV, and Ms. Gabby just talk to me while holding my hands, helped me while Ms. Lacey and Doctor Yarborough fixed my tooth, they all were telling me that I was doing a great job. She told me everything she was going to do, so there were no surprises, and before I knew it, I was done. Everybody was super supportive, kind, caring, even with some tears. They helped me with my tooth. Ms.Marie was able to check me out upfront and I was on my way with a half crooked smile on the account that my face was still numb from it being fixed! Don't worry it went back to normal. This isn't just a dentist's office. This is a dentist, family who really cares about their patients, takes the time to help them feel comfortable, confident, and brave, even if they're a little scared and walk out with an awesome smile! I have had horrible experiences in the past with dentists. Dr. Yarborough and her team are amazing! They did absolutely everything to put me at ease...from offering me a blanket due to being chilled in the waiting room, to holding my hand while having a tooth extracted. Dr. Yarborough was completely professional and nonjudgemental. Her staff was top notch. They came highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed... actually impressed and looking forward to getting on the right path with dental care. I would NOT recommend going to this dental office. The care is average at best. The dental work is subpar. The office staff will not return telephone calls. I have called the office weekly since receiving a bill with a question about dental work I received over two years ago. I received the bill in question the beginning of December for additional money for a procedure over two years ago that I paid the insurance estimated cost. The irony: I had to get the procedure redone earlier this year by another dentist because the fit was incorrect. I am very disappointed that no one will return my calls. I sent the additional money to them and still have not received a phone call. Please do not go here if you want quality care by people that care about the patient. This practice believes only in the money. If you go, you will notice the dentist has very expensive taste. Your bill will reflect that taste not your dental care. Go to a dentist that cares for the patient. Your teeth and oral health will thank you for it. I learned my lesson with this dentist and this office. read more

BEWARE OF THIS DENTIST!!!! My daughter went to get 3 small fillings which should have been easily done. Nope. This appointment took 3 hours and at one point my daughter said she was left in the chair for an hour. My daughter has extreme anxiety about going to the dentist and asked twice if she should be given nitrous oxide, she was told she didn't need it they were almost done. Dr Yarbrough's bed side manner is less than desirable. I have heard many stories about how "gruff" she is. Gruff is an understatement, she is mean. Not only was she left in the chair for an hour while the dentist ate lunch with her husband, but she was charged $277 for extra chair time. And they would not let her leave the office until she paid. I had big hopes for my daughter's experience but it turned out rather unfortunate. Originally we went in for 1 cavity from a previous dentist that we were unable to get fixed before we moved. After having new X-rays we were informed my daughter had 4 cavities that needed taken care of. On to the actual appointment. My daughter wanted me to come back to the room after they had started the gas and the kind assistant came out to get me. I asked my daughter is she wanted her ear buds to put music on to help distract her from her obvious nervous state and she said yes. I ran out to the car to get these and was back in less than 2 minutes. The doctor has already began giving shots and didn't allow the couple minutes it would have taken to get my daughter the little distraction and possible help of easing her nerves. I was finally able to get back in to hold my daughter's hand, as she had requested but it was a struggle as the doctor wouldn't pause so I could get back easily. I was a bit put off by this because my daughter was sweaty with nerves and an occasional tear would come out. None of this was acknowledged by the doctor however the assistants were quite kind and comforting. Upon leaving I had to ask for a print out of the billing and charge breakdown. After I paid I realized they had charged for 6 cavities! So I questioned why for 6 when we had been told 4 at the initial exam. I asked to speak with the doctor about this and she came out after a little wait so I could get clarification. Unfortunately it was quite an uncomfortable conversation as the doctor was clearly on defense when I began asking why the change in plan and I wasn't informed of the additional 2 fillings prior to completion. The whole conversation went downhill from there. By this time the doctor was quite upset and said I was questioning her ethics, which I wasn't, I was just trying to get a straight answer to the change from the original plan we had been given. The doctor was barely composing herself and was so upset she said she was refunding the whole appointment and dismissing us from her practice! NOT at all what I was asking for or expecting. The doctor then left the room we were in and I was in complete shock for the lack of professionalism and bedside manner from this doctor. I really did have high hopes for this dental office because the staff had been so kind and supportive to my daughter and her anxiety with her dental needs. read more

My son had a tooth extracted. He was charged for a surgical extraction. The tooth was not surgically extracted. The gum was not compromised and no sutures were required. It was a simple, single root extraction. Outrageous to charge for a service that was not performed. read more

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed on 4/20/22 from Dr Gretchen Yarborough. She was in extreme pain from the time the numbness wore off. I took her back on 4/ 26 and Dr Yarborough numbed her up and flushed the sockets out claiming it was food buildup. She was instructed to double the opioids and given another prescription for them. The pain became so bad that she could not stand it, she was sick from the opioids, in horrible pain and begging her Professors to give her an extension on her end of semester assignments. I took her to my Dentist on 5/2 who X-Rayed the sockets and found a broken tooth with exposed nerves left in her socket and she had a pretty bad infection. On 5/5 an Oral Surgeon removed the tooth and nerves. She is still very sore  and avoids chewing on that side. Her GPA also fell due to being unable to concentrate on her work. Dr Yarborough was made aware of this as I sent her X-rays and a picture of the piece of tooth with nerves attached. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!! Like she does not EVEN CARE!! read more

Friendly staff, efficient office, excellent customer service. Very pleased with my recent cleaning.

At first, I thought this was a great practice with genuine, caring staff. Now that I've been there a few times, my mind has definitely changed. I needed minimal work done which, unfortunately, led me to have more work done because of the inferior hasty job originally done. I was treated coldly as if the reason for returning with a problem was my fault. I was always charged more out-of-pocket costs than what I should have after the insurance processed my claims and then I was very nastily questioned about it.
