The store always looks clean and tidy and it is usually easy to get around the whole store pretty easily unlike some of the other branches which sometimes feel cramped. It is situated in the Swansgate shopping centre where there is free parking, and it is near to one of the centre entrances so the access is quick if you come into the centre from the street as opposed to through the carpark. The staff are helpful and can put things aside if you want to collect them later. If you like a store that there is plenty of room to browse and offers fashion at really good prices, then try this branch of Select.

select has a very good range of ladies clothers at a very resonable price, it also sels shoes etc…read more the staff will go out of there way to help you. its positioned in the shopping centre so its in easy walking distance to the local bus stops and taxi ranks its a very shot walk to one of the free carparks.

The branch in Wellingborough is a fairly large store and it has a large carpark too, although you do now have to pay £1 to park there which is refunded at the till if you buy something over £5, if not, then you lose your £1. The prices are excellent and when they have a sale on for the end of season ranges,the prices are really low, it is hard to find anywhere cheaper. There are plenty of checkouts, but it does get pretty busy in there and the queues are sometimes quite long, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. It does tend to get a bit hot in the store though, that is the only downside. It's a good store where you can buy lots of different things all under one roof,all of which are cheaper than other high street stores, and it is close to town centre so you could walk from the shopping centre to Matalans easily enough.

It is aimed more at children and teenagers as it has a very fresh and young feel to it. It is quite a small store but it is somewhere worth visiting if you are looking for some accessories as they do stock a good range. They also do ear piecing too. I have had the staff coming up to me sometimes though and asking if they can help as soon as I have stepped into the store which I do find a bit off putting as it is somewhere that I like to browse and am not often looking for anything specific, just something that catches my eye. There is free parking in the Swansgate Centre, and the store is situated just inside the centre so is close to the main shopping streets in Wellingborough.

Inside, there is a good selection of stores, including high street names like Boots, WHSmith, Dorothy Perkins, New Look, Wilkinsons and Iceland to name a few. The range of shops is good too, as there is a nice selection of clothes shops, jewellery shops, department style stores, music and loads of others. There is loads of parking inside the centre itself and it is free which is great as there are not many shopping centres that have free parking. The only thing about the centre that lets it down is the fact that it looks very dated and old fashioned compared with more modern shopping centres. Having said that, it doesn't really matter as it is always clean and tidy and the shops are great which is what really matters.
