Whether your after a new TV, cutlery, a cot, ornaments and vases, bedding, or religious accessories that you may need for the temple, they sell it in here. The prices are not bad, and considering that there is a lot of competition on Soho Rd with similar outlets, this is one of the nicer places to shop. What I particularly like about this shop is they always burn incense on the shelves behind the till, which always creates that welcoming and home feel atmosphere.

They have a wide range of electrical home appliances, kitchenware, musical instruments, toys, decorations and religious artefacts! They even stock fireworks all year round! As you would expect from the range of products they sell; the store is large and bursting with stock. Their window display gives you a taste of how vibrant their product variety is. It's a family-run business, which is probably why it has an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Their prices vary. Some products are a little dear to what popular High Street stores would offer, although they offer a repair service so you could seek technical support if something goes wrong with your appliance. On the other hand, I bought tall vases for wedding centrepieces for just £3 each, which is a bargain!

This is quite possibly THE WORST CONSUMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I could write an essay on the extremely protracted, extremely stressful and upsetting process of dealing with this company but there's no need. Read the other one star reviews and believe them . In short though.... We bought two boards and carts for our kids for Christmas. They had a mind of their own and were extremely dangerous and then they just didn't work. Emailed the merchant and was told to send videos of the boards malfunctioning. We did this and were told to send them back. We did this but were then told there was nothing wrong with them and that we had damaged them so we could not have a refund. If you know the Consumer Rights Act then you know that our right to a refund is a no brainer. Not of satisfactory quality and returned within 30 days with evidence of dangerous malfunction. Instead they forced us to go through countless back and forth emails and numerous telephone calls all with them refusing any refund. In the end we got our bank (Thank you Monzo!) to pursue it for us. It took ages but in the end they got our refund for us. In the service of brevity I've missed out so much of this nightmare process which took 5 months to get our £550 back. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY. TERRIBLE PRODUCTS. WORST POSSIBLE SERVICE. THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR CONSUMER RIGHTS AND ACT SHAMELESSLY IN THE HOPE THAT YOU WILL GIVE UP. SAVE YOURSELF THE GRIEF. DON'T TAKE THE RISK. ALL THE BAD REVIEWS ARE TRUE.

Segway arrived.. pretty standard Segway... not the extra robust model it was made out to be on their website. The go kart attachment didn't not arrived. I had no correspondence to let me know this was not arriving. Waited a few days.... no go kart. Tried to call... wasted a lot of time on hold... every time my call was terminated at the other end. I emailed... no response. My sons birthday passed with no go kart. I then wasted another 25 mins on hold to the uk Segboards ... finally got to speak to somebody. The call handler (Chris) then read me a lovely pre-rehearsed script about how the manufacturer had let them down and their poor head of sales had to fly to China too rectify error. The long story went on and on wasting more of my time! Ending in..... they didn't have any go karts... I would have to wait another week before the new ones arrived.... No offer of refund or idea as to when after the 7 days I might get my go kart. Call handler then put me on hold for an unnecessary amount of time when I asked to speak to a manager... wasting even more of my day and infuriating me further... not great customer handling skills. To be told no manager is available and that my son could just use just the Segway so why doesn't he do that.... Shock! I am now at the mercy of maybe receiving the product at some point in the future when company decided or not. Terrible company... average product. Why are they taking orders for products they cannot supply.

An almost palace of cheap and cheerful shopping they stock pretty much everything from home ware, clothes, furniture, garden products, electrical, lights, toys and even sweets and food. Spread over 3 floors once inside you might struggle to escape. I visit quite often as they have a lot of cheap things I use around festival season and Christmas. It is well worth a visit and really you haven't lived until you've spent an hour here.

The place has EVERYTHING and it's all cheap as chips. There's so much that you can end up getting a little lost, without even knowing where to start. Some might prefer to go a little more upmarket, but I have no problem at all when you can kit out your whole flat and get change from a fiver (I exaggerate but you get my point). Even though it's cheap it's not all throwaway stuff, I bought some glasses there when I moved to my new apartment and the quality is pretty decent. As well as all the practical things you will need you can also find some very surreal and kitch decorative things. There are three floors dedicated to kitchenware, furniture, bedding, lighting and electrical goods, gardening equipment, tools, food and drink, cleaning products... see, everything! I recommend going by car or with a willingness to carry bags. And expect to leave there with a bunch of useless things you never intended to buy on your shopping trip (I still have the lenticular portrait of a tiger on my wall to this day).

Located over multiple floors, the store is spacious, it feels modern and cool like it has recently been refurbished. They have a nice food selection including a bar and brasserie with a decent menu, although it is a little expensive this has to be expected to a degree as it is more of a high-end store. I do feel to match the high-end nature of the place, the staff could have stood out more and perhaps they could have had more staff members in all areas of the store as coming in on a higher level can sometimes leave someone confused or getting lost, but the store, in general, is pretty decent to navigate for the key areas which are labelled anyway. One of my favourite Harvey Nichol's stores with good facilities and a good location, it stands out also due to its' modern features - but issues with the layout and service hold it back to just a four-star rating and a pretty awesome place to mark my 500th review of 2019.

I have used One Stop for various bits and pieces since I first moved to Birmingham in 2003. Being an ex UCE (now BCU) student, it was just over the road from my Uni and close to my student accommodation; meaning I could do all my weekly shopping in one place (without having to lug it back to somewhere too far away). One Stop has it's own car park, but it does get very busy on Saturday's. You get three hours free parking; which gives you plenty of time to pop to the shops and get out before going over. As well as your chain shops (such as Asda, Boots and Rymans), there is a small selection of Independent stores including a butcher (that sells goat and mutton), a florist and various clothing stores and market stalls. There is a good amount of discount stores, so you can grab your weekly shop at the supermarket and then grab some "bits and pieces" from Heron Foods, Poundland and Bodycare. There is a particularly good Mark and Spencer's outlet store which I have been able to get jeans for £4 and great bargains in the large clearance section at the back (to the left hand side). One Stop isn't glitzy, but it is a good place to head to if you need your weekly shop or just grab a few bits and pieces. As a top tip; get down there early on the weekends to get a parking space.

There's an Argos, numerous phoneshops, a KFC and a Burger King! If you after something a little more healthy there's also a Holland & Barretts! One Stop is a modern shopping centre that adds a little sophistication to the surrounding area. You don't need to go to any other store to get what you need! It's four stories and is massive, it's pretty much a mall in itself. It has a relaxing, cool vibe with dim lighting! People there are very nice and have excellent service! They always have what you need and if they are out of stock, they restock quickly and will tell when they will restock. I was looking for Kiehl's and unlike most lazy sales people, the woman I asked was very attentive and actually walked me over there to sight of Kiehl's. This was very much appreciated. You really are supposed to walk them all the way over to the area, but since she was by herself, makes sense. She was very kind and helpful. Great customer service!! Once I got to Kiehl's it had a nice set up with a large range of products! They had the items I needed unlike the useless Kiehl's store in Grand Central. Don't go to the Kiehl's at Grand Central. They are rude and they don't good stock of their products, even though they are the official store. Do not go there! (It's located at Grand Central, but go straight to the Kiehl's at Selfridges! You will have a great experience at the Kiehl's in Selfridges! :)) Back to the awesome Kiehl's at Selfridges!! They are very kind and the two women there were very friendly, inviting, attentive, answered my questions, knew what they were talking about and were so helpful! I was able to get the product I needed. It was in a larger size, but I'm glad they had it and I bought it! Even though the smaller one was out of stock, they were very honest and told me when they would restock. She was very descriptive and thorough which I really appreciated and invited me to come back next week to get the other product I needed, which they would have in the smaller size. They even set me up the Selfridges mailing list! Excellent! I will happily be shopping here more! So friendly and excellent customer service!! Go to Selfridges, go to the Kiehl's there, go to every floor and company they have there! They have everything and have excellent service!! Plus you get to leave with a cute yellow bag!! :)

It still remains my favourite department store in the city and stocks everything you could want from amazing food and drink through to homeware, fashion and cosmetics. The highlight for me is the food hall on the ground floor, I think you would be hard pushed to find anywhere with the diversity and range of things you can try and buy in one place. I could easily spend a whole afternoon looking at the many weird and wonderful items that fill every countertop and display cabinet in the open and modern feeling space. One thing to note is that this place only stocks the very best of everything they sell, so don't go here expecting the cheapest products in Brum. However you can get a bargain from time to time in the many sales they put on throughout the year. In my opinion Selfridges keep pushing the boundary in terms of what people expect from a department store. Forward thinking, well designed and and always changing to keep thing fresh!
