Mairs are one of the exceptional stores on Soho Road for that Asian wedding and bridal attire…read more They always display the latest designs and the fashion you can't produce in the UK, they bring all the items over from all over Asia, which includes, India, Singapore and far out east. Popular, and occasionally you will find a great sale on, they also have some nice outfits for men. Certainly take friends and family with you on your visit here. Whatever colours you prefer they sell. I like how they speak lots of languages, and it's more convenient for my mothers generation who knows that she trusts what they're saying about their garments when she can speak to them in her own language. I'd recommend visiting the store, car parking is available nearby, and the shop is served with bus routes regularly from the city and West Bromwich. Quite busy on the weekends though.

Despite the fact I have not brought anything from here, I have tried one or two sherwanis from Mairs. Just wearing them felt good and the only thing that prevented me from buying them was price. I did ask if they could reduce the price by a small amount but they couldn't. What I will say is that the staff here are very friendly and will help you if you need it. They will happily answer your questions and offer you advice. I did find some sherwanis had way too much embroidery but I guess there are Asians out there that like Indian suits with plenty of sequins/embroidery. If Mairs did lower their prices then maybe I would buy a sherwani from here. As well as Menswear, there are Asian Ladieswear on sale here as well.

From saris to god statues to kitchen utensils, these are some of the things you will find at Milans. Although there are some nice saris on sale, I'm not entirely sure whether future brides would buy saris from here. There are other shops on Soho Road that offer more in the way of bridal saris. And to be honest you will find better bridal saris elsewhere. Having said that the saris at Milans are good but not excellent and you might want to buy some saris from here anyway. That's just my view. I did like the god statues and I am into them. The majority are Hindu gods and they are well priced. I haven't actually brought any statues but I might just return here to do so. The shop is pretty clean as you would expect it to be and I may well come back to Milans in the near future.

They sell a good and varied selection of Asian clothing in here, and is the ideal visit if your shopping on Soho Rd. Everyone knows about this place and they have decent and reasonable prices. Over the years my family, especially my mother, have spent a small fortune in here buying Saree's and accessories that come in the most delightful of colours and fashions. It's nice how they've branched out to also include shawls, kitchenware, fashion accessories such as bindis, and items that you may need for religious worship. Overall a delightful store. Good prices, and they'll be surely missed if they were to ever leave.

The cheek of that Neha, who saud oh you've put on lots of weight bearing in mind i had lost weight wuth stress of my sons wedding , anyway she saud come back in a week, i was travelling from Leicester, i went again surprise surprise, the side pleat was gathering, so she sent me to a tailor round the corner. She altered altered it but the gathering was still, she saud ur bras not fitting probably, so o spent £30 on a bra but still had creases between the side pleat, i just could not bother going back again £300 wasted. Not the first time I have said this but not enough Mens sherwanis on offer for me. As much as I liked the suits and as much as I liked the staff here, I just didn't feel as if there were enough sherwanis. The saris here at Dimpy's I have to say were pretty stunning though. But again it was the prices that put me off. If the shop did lower its prices then maybe I would consider buying a sari for one of my family members or even a sherwani. But at the moment I would have to say I have no intentions of coming back here. It is unfortunate because this shop actually does sell some decent sherwanis. I can however see many ladies coming to shop here.
