I love this type of furniture, so I enjoy looking around, but the prices are high. I found a couple of Mission Oak footstools I would have loved to have bought, but they were in the $400-500 range - for a simple footstool. Granted, not easy to find and in good shape, but that was more than I was willing to pay. Shop is located in St. Joseph, which is traditionally a wealthy area (Whirlpool Corporation is here, so be sure to notice the who-needs-a-house-that-big mansions along the lakeshore if you drive by). St. Joseph is a tourist and summer home area for people with money. The furniture here is desirable, beautiful, and hard to find. Those factors create high prices that others can and will pay. As for we middle class types, we continue to rummage out of the way antiques shops in hopes of a lucky find.

The owner asked what my phone number was as he looked into the computer & then proceeded to try to bully me about an old review! The old review was for a Kindle Fire that I brought for my daughter I believe back in 2015 for Christmas! Charged the device & gift wrapped it! Wasn't until she opened it & for 3 days in a row she couldn't use the device because it wouldn't hold a charge! I immediately contacted them (the owner) letting him know the problem & that I had the original receipt! He refused to fix the problem not listening to the fact that it was a gift that was wrapped so we could not have known the issues the device was having until days after purchase! He didn't even want to hear it! Didn't offer a return at discounted price, NOTHING! I wrote the review in 2015 for that dispute, for him to then contact me after the fact & offered a refund! Fast forward to today... he immediately tried to bully me into taking down or fixing the review & I explained that I didn't get good service until the review was posted. He then tried to go back & forth about "I spoke to you that day years ago & everyone knows that I offer a refund within 3 days!" I then explained AGAIN that I told him over the phone in 2015 that it was wrapped for Christmas & we couldn't have possibly known it was faulty until the device was opened & used! He then said Oh! Yeah! As if he agrees & remembers the conversation but also slides my check back to me & refused services! I have gone here numerous times to cash checks from 2015 until now & never had an issue until today! The entitlement of this man is beyond believable! You do not get good reviews by trying to bully your way into one! You offer GOOD SERVICES in return for a good review! I would have had no problem with fixing the review in 2015 had I not had to take my loss on the item & only offered a refund after the bad review! I would have considered revising the review if asked NICELY this evening! I will not be returning to this business because there are far better businesses that offer the same services selling merchandise & cash/card transactions!
