My family used Care Patrol for my Dad's placement into AL from his home. He was steered to a pricey…read moreAL place he absolutely hated. We'd promised him he could move in 3 months if he was still unhappy. We were looking for alternatives just in case--including my Dad, who did it on his computer at/around the 3 month mark. His query for more information from a different AL place ended up, somehow, in Care Patrol's lap. He said he received a call from the agent who placed him there, who told him he was already at his home and that's where he would stay! Can you believe that? Apparently, CP placement works on commission, which is payed by the facility, BUT they only get the full amount if the person stays 90 days or--3 months [shocker]. They must've gotten a hell of a commission because Dad quickly deteriorated from his unhappiness and wanting to be elsewhere. They had zero concern about an elderly man's health or wishes.
