Peace Museum Vienna strives to promote world peace throughout our stories of Peace Heroes. Our museum is a meeting point where visitors and our staff discuss any peace topics. Peace is not straightforward because there is no universal definition of peace. Therefore, we welcome anybody interested to their own peace experience and thoughts.
The Windows for Peace is also what we present to public. We have windows decorated with pictures of Peace Heroes and descriptions of them along Blutgasse. This exhibition is always open. We believe this open air exhibition is very unique - no other museum can offer this type of expositions to visitors!
Peace should be open to anybody, therefore we don´t charge any entrance fee.
History
Established in 2014.
Our founder, Mrs. Liska Blodgett was inspired by the small museum for peace when she strolled through Normandy, France. She thought it is important to create a platform where people can discuss about peace. That is how the Peace Museum Vienna came into this world.
Meet the Business Owner: Liska B.
Mrs. Liska Blodgett is the founder/president of the Peace Museum Vienna (PMV). When she travelled in Normandy, she was amazed at a small peace museum on peace. Inspired by this coinsidental encounter, she decided to create her own peace museum in the world. PMV is her first peace museum and part of her continuous project in expanding the peace museums.
