DO NOT PLACE ONLINE ORDER- THEY FAIL TO SEND AFTER COLLECTING YOUR $$$$$! On AUG 17, 2025, I placed a large online order and was immediately billed. After failing to receive the order 30 days later, I started sending emails, inquiring about the order status. NO REPLIES. I tried posting messages on their website, where there's a messaging area, but NO REPLIES. When I check UPS Tracking, it has been in the "In transit" status since Oct. 22nd. I've waited 4 MONTHS for my order, that included all holiday presents, and still no order. Even from Canada, I would have thought that by placing my order in August, it would arrive by Thanksgiving. I understand UPS shipping delays, but the least this company can do is communicate updates with their customers. I've tried to CANCEL my order, but finally received a reply today (after posting a negative Facebook review), that they cannot process my cancellation or refund request because "the order has already shipped". But, WHERE IS IT? I really wanted to support this family-owned business, but feel like they either just neglect their online orders, or are running a scam! read more

For the past year, my partner and I have been coming here every 1-2 weeks to get ourselves a piece of chocolate each as a treat. Today, we were told that that is no longer an option and we would have to buy a box. I love a deep chocolately taste that isn't too sugary, and Peace by Chocolate definitely fits that description. Didn't try the milk chocolate, but loved the dark. However, I would like to see some choices that have a soft filling instead of hard chocolate throughout. Although the family has a warehouse and shops throughout Nova Scotia, I shopped in their original shed by their house in Antigonish. They've kept the shed as a reminder of how far they've come since fleeing Syria, where their business was bombed. While searching for gift ideas for someone in the vicinity I happened upon this shop online. I ordered a box for someone in California instead, and a chocolate bar for myself. I am old enough to remember chocolate shops that made their own creations and these folks did not disappoint. Each piece is a work of art. Even a simple candy bar has a richness in color, aroma and a high natural gloss. The flavors are subtle, rich, and to be savored. Anyone who tries their chocolates will be spoiled for life. I ordered online from Peace by Chocolate. I lived in the Middle-East for a few years, and loved the chocolate there. It was deep and rich and less on the sugar. High cocoa content which I love. This place did not disappoint. Their dark chocolate is deep, rich and smooth. No bitter or gritty after taste, just pure cocoa-y gorgeousness which lingers on the tongue. Their milk chocolate is smooth and just glides on to the taste buds. This is quality chocolate. It is artisan prepared, quality for people who know the difference between a 99 cent drug store brand chocolate bar and real, well-conched chocolate (which this is). Stopped here based on reviews. It is a tiny little chocolate shop attached to a house. I would say it could definitely use some cleaning up and organization but we heard that they were in the process moving to a factory so that their chocolates could be sold in the grocery stores. This is great for them! The little store will be turned into a living museum. The chocolates were delicious. Definitely melt in your mouth. I was a little disappointed that we could not get all one kind of chocolates because many of the flavors were ones that I would not ordinarily eat. My daughter loved them all! read more

I am very disappointed in this establishment for customer service. There is none! My order was two boxes short. In over a week of leaving a phone messages and emails, I have received no correspondence or communication from the company. 50 Dollars short. No invoice sent with the order. Nothing! The box shipped was not enough to hold the order. I sent pictures and still no response. Last time ordering on line. Extreme disappointment! I just advised the company I am driving 90 km to return the chocolates to straighten this out. read more

I have supported this company for several years and have been a loyal customer. I recently ordered 8 chocolate bars & a box of chocolates. They were all to be gifts for friends & family. I noticed the choc bars were only 2/3 the size in the wrapping & opened one to discover a third of it melted to nothing & most of the chocolate a whitish colour, of the 8 choc. bars only 2 were intact. The box of chocolates were for my Mom;s 96th birthday so got her to open them while I was there the individual chocolates were either melted into nothing & all white coloured or just melted into a blob. I can understand a problem with shipping but I sent 2 emails with pictures to the company just asking for reimbursement as so inedible they had to be thrown away & have not heard a peep from them, nothing. It has been over 2 weeks now & not a word from them. I think what bothers me the most is that my support & custom means so little. The company uses all the right words but now those words seem empty & dishonest. The company have lost my custom but it's obvious they don't care. read more

I'm torn between Peace By Chocolate in Antigonish and Sweet Spot dark ginger in Elmsdale....so I get both! I am so fortunate that both these chocolate makers are in Nova Scotia...I hope they never leave. They are by far the best that this chocoholic has ever tasted. read more

This a review of the product not of the actual store I purchased the chocolate at a grocery store. I picked up a small box of assorted varieties. And I found them to be super hard almost to the point where I would be worried about breaking a tooth. One piece that was supposed to have nuts in had none, another piece had crushed bits in it but was still tasteless. when biting into a piece it broke apart as if you were biting into a chip, I tried melting a piece in my mouth and it did not melt like any other chocolate . I would not recommend them to anyone. IF you like Chocolate I would recommend Purdy's 100 times over this brand, they are a bit more expensive but are worth it. read more
