History

Established in 2014.

Peace Arch Montessori Preschool was founded by Fawn Ventura, a lifelong educator who fell in love with Montessori Education after seeing the profound positive affects that it had in her own child. Fawn has over a decade of experience working with preschool children in both traditional and Montessori environments, and is a certified Montessori teacher through the Montessori Accreditation Council via the Age of Montessori (Dr. Caspari's school). She founded Peace Arch Montessori to provide access to Montessori education to children in the North Whatcom County area, and to help provide additional options for preschool education to parents in the area.

Meet the Business Owner: Fawn V.

Fawn Ventura brings over a decade of experience to Peace Arch Montessori Preschool as the founder & visionary behind the school's program. Originally from Thailand, she came to the United States to study early childhood education, and brought with her a bachelor's degree in Social Services & Administration from Khon Kaen University in Thailand. In the United States, she has earned certification in Montessori Education from the "Age of Montessori" school started by Dr. Elizabeth Caspari. - a Montessori Accredition Council approved program - and has applied it to founding Peace Arch Montessori Preschool. Fawn loves children, and has over a decade of experience working with preschool-aged children in the United States and abroad. She strives to apply the principles of Maria Montessori to help engage children in the preschool learning process, and help the to achieve more learning than in the traditional Pre-K environment.
