While visiting Vancouver, my glasses broke and since my lenses were wearing out (coating…read moredelaminating), I decided it is time for new glasses and I can't wait to have them replaced at home. I went to Costco, a chain store, and Richmond Eye Care after asking a friend for a referral. I read the latest review for them (it wasn't very good) and went to Richmond Eye Care based on the referral, and with a little trepidation. Let me tell you, the family that runs this place has been here for 30+ years and were so friendly and professional. It felt like I have been friends with them for years. I found a pair of frames that I like (I have a very wide face) and told the owner, Alan, that I still needed to visit one more place before deciding. I did end up using Richmond Eye Care. It took 7 business days from the time I ordered them to the time I picked them up. They did tell me that it may take a little longer for the high-index frames for my severe prescription. Alan's father, Archie, is an expert at fitting them to my face. He patiently worked the frames to make sure everything was right before I went back home.

The inside is classy and has a somewhat decent selection. The owner (looks like a 1 man show) is friendly and chatty. I was able to get my stuff done, and the product was delivered on time. The paperwork, however, was a totally different story. Several errors were made, and the place was having fax/printer issues. Instead of getting my paperwork through email, I had to physically go back. When I picked up the paperwork and found it was done incorrectly, I had to come back again to get it fixed. The 2nd time around, the paperwork had a different error, which now necessitated a 3rd visit. This put a huge dent in my overall experience, and was honestly quite a waste of time. This place seriously needs a fax machine and working printer.

When I met Dr Moison I was advised I had two eye conditions that needed treatment. Dry eyes condition can be very complicated to diagnose correctly. I found out the hard way I had been going from one doctor to another for almost a year before I was sent to the right place. I found Dr Marc Morison to be a very genuine and likeable person who was highly motivated to cure my eye condition. He explained what the treatment was going to involve and all the precautions I was to take while under treatment. As well, the costs were explained very clearly from the beginning. He was not willing to do the treatment unless he expected it to be beneficial. I was expecting an additional treatment but he said I did not need it. After six months of follow up I am happy to report my eyes have cleared up 90 percent and I can see clearly again. I will keep following up to make sure they don't revert back to how they were. I know treatments can be hard and expensive however I recommend following through. Your eyes are worth your time and money. I had to travel from Vancouver to Surrey by bus to take the treatment but it was totally worth it. I would highly recommend Dr Moison to anyone looking for a good eye doctor.

They don't mind when you ask a million questions & never make you feel rushed. I had to go through 5 pairs of contacts to find the right ones. The personal attention of sitting with me to show me how to take them in & out was greatly appreciated. I will not go anywhere else & have convinced my husband to switch to them for his eye care needs as well. I have completely faith & trust in them. During COVID they even managed to arrange for me to come & get my contacts so that I didn't go without. Just stellar service. Thank you Lifetime Eyecare!! See you soon!
