Stopped by here for a catch up with a friend. It wasn't busy for a Wednesday night so we were able just sit and chill out. The staff came over and assisted and checked on us appropriately. We ordered a hookah and just chatted. Note there are $10 refills after your first set of coals die out. I didn't get a drink but I saw others ordering them. read more

Visited on a Saturday night while in town! We made a reservation for 11pm glad we did bc it was packed when we arrived. They have a two hour seating limit. Waited about 10 mins for our table. Tables are really close together. We were seated next to a party of maybe 5-6 but they were all in our space. And more people kept coming to their table as the night progressed.Once in we ordered drinks and hookah. The drinks were good definitely bar prices. The waitress was all over the place, again it was busy so we had to flag her down every-time we were ready for another round. Hookah was as expected. DJ was good and played a variety of hits which we appreciated. I will say that it was hot! No air circulation at all! I had to go outside a few times bc it was a big smoke ball inside. Good spot tho. read more

We are from out of town and visited Peace & Saint tonight. We sat on the Patio for 45 minutes and never had our order taken . The short dark skin young lady came and checked on the tables to our right and left , and did not acknowledge us. The light skin lady with the short curly hair brought a drink to the table next to us, and we asked her could we have our order taken, she said she'd send the server. When the server came back out she again checked on the tables to the left and right of us, and never acknowledged us. When she walked across the patio to another table, my bestfriend said let's go, but I gave her the b.o.d , and said she'll be right back. To my disappointment after checking on the table across the patio she went back inside. We quietly got up and left. read more

Nice environment. Location is convenient to downtown Raleigh but there is no parking lot parking. I enjoyed coming to celebrate a friends birthday. They offer a variety of drinks and hookah. The only downside is there is no food offered, not even bar food such as chips, peanuts or wings. The music was good and it was a manageable crowd of people. Our waitress was attentive and accommodating. It's a place I would visit again but I don't do any heavy drinking without food. read more

The hookah is always a great experience. I have hookah at other places but peace and saints is always on point and never a miss

I came to this establishment for an event for the first time. I agree with others regarding the venue being nice, parking is quite limited though so keep that in mind. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor and the decor was eye catching. I am troubled, however, by the fact that I went to purchase a drink and the bartender (he has locs) asked me to "dance sexy for him" in order to get a drink. I refused, he continued to request, I refused again and he would not serve me the drink. I ended up placing my order with a female waitress and giving a generous tip instead. I was shocked that this type of behavior is occurring in this modern age, but given that experience, it will be very unlikely that I will set foot here again. Management should be aware and should ensure that this type of behavior is stamped out. read more

This spot continues to change and outdo themselves so I had to come update this review. The menu has changed now offering various pizzas and deserts! The old small plates are no longer on the menu and I LOVE the new menu update. The pizza looked great. They have a rotating dessert you can ask about, and one of their featured desserts is a s'mores board! I think that's such a cute addition especially for the fall/winter time and the seats outside have little fire pits which makes it even better. They added even more hookah flavors giving you a nice selection to choose from and all their drinks are unique and have their own look. Hookah repacks are now only $7. The service is great, and the DJ who was there on Friday night was amazing!!!! Our usual go-to drink here is the gummy bear shots but we also had s'mores shots which were so delicious because of the burnt marshmallow on top and the center of the galaxy drink which was so pretty and actually sparkled giving it a galaxy look. read more

I've visited Peace & Saint three times, and for various reasons out of my control, I have been unable to get inside. My friend made reservations, and she forgot her license, so we went back to get her license and returned. I understand showing license is the policy. We enjoyed the nice fall breeze on the patio. It wasn't packed, which was a plus for me since I don't enjoy crowds. We enjoyed a Hookah and two drinks each - on the patio. The property grounds, inside seating area, and bathrooms are nice and clean. Peace & Saint is a nice space for mature crowds interested in having good conversations and just catching up with friends. There is a nice ambiance in the less busy part of downtown. The staff is nice and welcoming. The staff does a good job of checking in. Not quite a 4 star yet. 3-star Explanation: The mouthpieces did not fit as expected on the hookahs. We weren't given a warning or explanation when the hookah was placed on the table. We had to ask why the mouthpieces weren't fitting. We were told it was something dealing with being sent the incorrect pieces. I was craving a pineapple martini, but I settled for pineapple & vodka. Maybe I should have gone with the menu, but when an establishment has a full bar, I expect the bar to accommodate my drink preferences. Tip: Order from the menu! I assume the martini request couldn't be honored at the bar. I did ask for a splash of pineapple if I had to go with just the pineapple and vodka, and the Bartender still put way too much pineapple. Our waiter asked how everything was, and we expressed it was too overpowering with Pineapple, but there wasn't much response. Why ask how someone liked something but not acknowledge what we said about the drink. On our next drink, we ordered wine instead. We didn't go wrong there. Pricepoint: the drinks and hookah seemed a bit on the pricey side but doable for the overall vibe of having cocktails and hookah under the same roof. I do recommend this spot for newbies, and the hookahs seem smoother than most. They take reservations. Reservations are always a perk, and it's not overly smoky, seems trendier, and offers cocktails. I don't know of other spots with hookah, cocktails, and food under the same roof. I wanted to give Peace & Saint a 5 star, but unfortunately, it falls short of 5 and 4, and I'm going with a 3 star this time. There is room for improvements, and I'll return and update a new review if there are improvements. read more

Cool night spot! We dined at Oro and our server, Cory suggested this spot for drinks and vibes. We were pleased to arrive and be seated immediately. We got shots, cocktails and hookah. The Jen 75 (their take on a French 75) was delicious! The hookah was regular. I will say their prices are a bit high and this is coming from a New Yorker. The DJ was phenomenal and played a nice mix of throwback R&B and hip hop along with current trendy songs. I'd def go back if in Raleigh again! read more

Last night was my first time at Peace & Saint and I would happily return, anytime. The entire experience is warm and inviting from the moment you arrive to the establishment. We chose our seating-- which ended up being right in front of the entrance because it was sooo hot last night. The establishment wasn't uncomfortable or anything, but I chose to wear a sweater so I needed that slight breeze. I enjoyed the patio. Just vibes. I found myself wanting to sit at one of the fire pits, smoke hookah and enjoy those delicious drinks ALL night long. Hookah: It's sooo cheap! Omg. The initial hookah is $35 and refills are $10. Each refill has a new flavor and coals. The first flavor we tried was Mango Tango and it was absolutely amazing ! There's a hint of mint to compliment the mango and passion fruit flavors. The second flavor was The Godfather (melon, raspberries, and mint) and OMG !!! Highly recommend. It would be so hard for me to choose which one I liked better. The hookah tender, Elliot, shared that these were brand new hookahs. I've never been to a hookah bar (or a bar that serves hookah) who had the same set up so I thought it was pretty cool. At the top of the hookah there is a lever that allows you to open or close the top to let more air in or not. No more measley metal tongs and coal ash all over the place :) Drinks: Jen 69 - she loved this drink (sadly I forgot to ask any specific questions so I couldn't describe this drink if I tried) loved the presentation. The drink came bubbly. Saint Sangria - YUM! I am a red sangria type of lady so my order was a no-brainer! This sangria was one of my favorites because it had more of a natural sweetness than a sugary sweetness. The glass it was served in was super cute. I loved the long neck. Way 2 Sexy - we both tried the Way 2 Sexy margarita in the guava flavor. Mine was spicy and both were good, but the spicy margarita was PHENOMENAL. My tolerance for spice is pretty high so it was more of a flavor enhancement in comparison to the traditional guava flavored Way 2 Sexy. & LOOK AT THOSE GLASSES !! Seriously, look at them. Loved the faces. It felt like I was drinking freshly squeezed fruit juices, muddled peppers, and tasteless tequila (thank goodness) on the terrace of my west coast home. Very chill and delicious. I do not recommend tasting the candied fruit garnishes on the drinks haha The GM Ace came over to speak with us and shared some insight as well as suggestions for future visits (as it was nearing closing when this conversation took place) and asked Elliot to make sure we got to our cars safely. We were both so appreciative and loved that he made time to speak with us and remind us that this IS a SAFE space. Reservations are recommended for Friday's and Saturday's. If you love great service, welcoming energy and beautiful scenery consider this your new favorite place to go! read more

I've been to this spot on another occasion and I enjoyed myself. Went last night...disgusted! They literally had no food other than one type of pizza and s'mores board. Our s'mores board would not stay lit, so we had to wait for someone to constantly come and relight the fire. I was unimpressed. Let's take it a complete step further, upon leaving there was an altercation with an African American gentleman at the bar. He was discussing with two security guards and a small security guy, I guess with a severe Napoleon complex comes from behind and slams the guy onto the floor. The single most disgusting thing I have seen in Raleigh. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the bathrooms are clean, the DJ was good and I'm just in the mood to be nice. read more

PS is a hookah-dessert-cocktail lounge with chill zen like vibes. The theme of the restaurant is Urban Zen boho garden. When you arrive on St. Mary's there are bouncers who check ID. I advise everyone to either make a reservation or come early. We were lucky to enjoy DJ Uncool Kev. He played a lot of 2000's jams. We had a party of 4 and there were several others with rather large parties. This is a cool spot to have an intimate date or a chill birthday gathering. Our waitress was Movani who was excellent. I appreciate how professional and well dressed the staff was. We ordered expresso martinis, the gummy bear shot and the Came Thru Drippin Tequila herbal cocktail. All of our drinks were perfect. We also enjoyed 2 rather large heavenly slices of the Red Wedding Cake and Pumpkin spice. Both perfection. You must order any of the cake slices ! They are huge and shareable !!! I don't smoke so we did not order hookah. The reservation system here is helpful and limits tables to a hour and a half seating time. I wish they had a large back patio for dancing . There is a front garden where you can take adorable photos and enjoy your party outside. Check them out one weekend. This is definitely something modern and that's what downtown Raleigh needs. read more

Personally not into the hookah but the cocktails are AMAZING and the place has a nice, relaxed vibe. Cocktails are pricy but they are using top liquor and they were some of the best I ever tasted. I came with a group of 7 around 7PM. Many open tables at this time. We were asked if we have a reservation and we said no. We were told we would have to leave at 10. That's OK. They combine two tables into one for us. At 8PM, we were told that we need to all shift to one table. OK so 7 people sit at one small table when we were told 10PM. Very weird. We relocate outside. Never once was asked again for drinks. While inside, 6 people finished their drink before 1 got their drink. Small things like asking for napkins to put our hookah tip on. They forgot to do that. Mind you, it is empty! The hookah and drinks were good but this place has a real uppity vibe and is not deserving of my money or yours. Good luck to em read more

(This is for the new Durham location) Got there at like 1:15ish and I ordered 4 drinks and a hookah. The bartender took my order and said the server will bring out the hookah. It's 1:20 I get my drinks, which were not good some drinks were full, the others were like 3/4 fullI, then I ask the server if the hookah was coming out. She said we stop serving at 1:30 and I'm like ok well it's 1:20. She said well we're stopping early. Keep in mind we went the day before and even got to order hookah 20 mins before closing. The sad part is the hookah and server was good from the day before but the customer service and drinks was horrible the next day. read more

First, Peace and Saint is the most aesthetically pleasing hookah bar in RDU. I go often for good hookah and the vibes. If you like fruity hookah, I recommend trying lady killer with a chill/frozen hose. The service has always been pleasant and the staff try their very best to accommodate all of their guest. At my most recent visit, a group of women came in very frustrated with the website. A woman from the group was yelling how she couldn't book a reservation. She definitely put eyes on her at the venue and disturbed the "peace", The manager approached her swiftly, listened to her and responded very professionally. He also accommodated her and her group with a table. He is very professional and this establishment is blessed to have him. Tops off to the owner for employing great leaders. His swift and professional response led me to write a review. 10/10-customer experience 10/10- atmosphere 10/10- hookah options This spot is a must visit if you are looking for good hookah, good vibes, and professionalism. read more

My reservation was at 11:30pm, I arrived 10 minutes late. Normally they send you a text when your table is ready but I didn't receive the text. When I arrived the person at the door says your reservation was canceled after 15 mins late. She tell me the next reservation was at 12 but if they didn't arrive by 12:15 you could sit there. At 12:15 I go back to check if the table was available she says it's a $250 min spend. I said they have NEVER done that before. I ask for the manager and they ask what was wrong. I explained what they said and he immediately said we don't do that here. They gave us a table, and we sat down. It wasn't about the money because generally you'll spend that much with 2 or more people. We had already spent $150 at the bar before even sitting down. So what was a $100 and we were ordering hookah. The server told someone she wasn't going to sit us there because she had someone that would spend $500 and she didn't know if we were going to spend money. I've been to peace and saint a million times and have never been treated in such a way. read more

Wonderful experience there last weekend and was treated greatly by Jamie. She did a wonderful job as my bartender

I came here last night with my homegirl for a girls night out. I really enjoyed the vibes here and they play really great music. we made reservations for 7 PM and upon arrival we were seated right away and our server I believe her name was Nicole was excellent she was really attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of and she was a very dope person to have a conversation with. The drinks were great I forgot what my homegirl ordered but I had the jen69 and it was delicious. we ended up getting to two of the same drinks and then we also had the angel lips flavored hookah and it was really smooth and sweet with a hint of mint. I know this place is still fairly new but the only thing I wish they had was small appetizers because after all that drinking and hookah, I definitely had a taste for some wings or something small. other than that the place is very clean and the ambience is amazing we will come again for another girls night! read more

A cool little lowkey vibe that was unexpected. After watching the basketball game we wanted to go to a hookah lounge I picked this place off ambiance alone and it did not fail. The DJ had the place jumping and although we had no reservations we (just two of us) were able to get a table. The hookah was good and we got the ice hose! Price is as expected. Cocktails were okay but not strong enough for my liking so went with a henny & cranberry which was good. They also have outdoor seating with less music if you want to just pregame with your friends. Would go to this spot again when in Raleigh! read more

It was good experience in Raleigh checking out real estate and local business concepts. Peace & Saint was provided a good experience. The hookah was reasonably priced at about $25 and were very smooth. The drinks were good, a bit on the sweet side for a few of the cocktails I had; so adding more liquor was the only option to provide the balance I needed. I think a value add for customers and the space would be a cooling system out on the patio. We had to wait an hour for a table (no complaints when you didn't make a reservation) however, the patio was empty, just too hot that day to enjoy. Overall I'd welcome the opportunity to go back. The staff was awesome and the owners were engaging. read more

Smoked on one hookah for 2 hours and never got the burned taste of the tobacco. Highly recommend the Lady Killer and Hawaiian. Let's move onto cocktails... It was a very peaceful vibe, aesthetically pleasing, the staff was accommodating and quick. I would suggest that you reserve a table if you want to be able to sit like the website suggests. We were invited to a birthday gathering and they didn't reserve any tables. So for the first hour we stood up and only got lucky that a table became available and hadn't already been reserved. As someone who rarely goes out and haven't had a hookah in years I really enjoyed the flavors and how smooth they were. Menu needs major overhaul. In a town with many good breweries, only 2 beers available (Corona and Modelo) seriously??? I've smoked shisha/hookah all over the U.S. and many other counties, $35 for a hookah in this place with terrible ambiance is way over priced, as is their drink prices. Previous reviews are out dated, don't be fooled by the old pics with the delicious pics of cake (which they no longer sell) and crowds of people. There are better hookah lounges in town, I don't recommend this place. Way over priced for the value. read more
