This is definitely one of the bigger PDSA charity shops. Think about double the size of a regular charity shop. It has a fairly wide selection of clothes, all in fairly good condition but nothing particularly special. All wearable and at bargain prices. The thing that is particularly interesting about this store however is their collection of media. There's several batches of old comic books (as old as 72), star trek magazines and such stuff, with lots of vinyl and tapes of various things from various epochs. The book collection is quite large too, although I wouldnt say there is anything awfully interesting. Most books are very good value however. Then there is a whole room dedicated to bricabrac and toys - quite curious too.
It's a little annoying that they charge for carrier bags. It's not like you're taking advantage of them by taking their precious carrier bags - its just that you have no other way of carrying a stack of books home. read more
