There are independent shops such as the pet shop, health food etc. There is Boswells coffee shop in the centre and that makes the whole shopping centre appealling. The large Tesco Metro which took Somerfields place is the end of the shopping centre. The car park to access this centre is below the shopping centre and allows 1 hour parking for 50p. This is the only car park that still allows this. You can wheel your tesco trolley right down to your car and leave it in the car park trolley bay. So 5 stars for this shopping centre.

We got to experience it during the Christmas holidays, which was nice for sight seeing. It opens at 9 am on weekdays, and the outside doors opened to the public about 5 minutes before. Many of the stores open soon after. The 3rd story consists of a variety of restaurants, all of which were closed that early in the day. Instead, quite a few coffee shops were open, including a lot of Costa's. The center of the mall consists of elevators and a set of escalators. Even at 9, there were quite a few people working and browsing.

There are plenty of shops that are set on two levels with plenty of parking in pay and display multi story car parks. The Bus station and train station are joined onto the Dolphin centre so access by public transport is just as easy. The Dolphin centre boasts many coffee shops and food outlets allowing everyone to take the weight off and enjoy a little bit of a break. The Dolphin Centre is always clean and tidy but it can get busy especially on Saturdays and sale times. For a days shopping why not try Poole.

Angel Place seemed pretty modern back in the 80's and it hasn't really been updated since then the flags and signs outside are faded and the plants outside are usually dead looking! We were staying across the street at the Future Inn and on the evening we arrived, we strolled over to take a quick peek at the adventures I would be exploring the next day. Much to my surprise, pleasure and happiness, there was a Pret right there as soon as we walked in! Breakfast at the hotel was on the pricey side so we knew where we'd be coming in the morning and we certainly needed to get fueled up for a day of shopping! CC has lots of high end, brand name stores and with even more shops beyond the boundaries of CC, this made for a lovely day of retail therapy. My poor husband... oh well, at least they had an Apple store for him. ;)

leaving Tesco yesterday I realised I had a puncture so pulled in to the recycling area opposite the…read morepetrol station. the gentleman in there offered to help me as he was an ex RAC patrol man. in the end he couldn't as I did not have the correct equipment. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped to offer help, in the end a lovely young man from Latvia came and helped me. He pulled out this huge screw/ bolt from the tyre then repaired it with something magic that looked like a rubber plug. I don't know his name, he said he lived in new Milton and he had a blue car. He really was a saviour to me. I was so amazed that so many kind people came to my aid and offered help. with all the bad things happening in this world today, all the people who stopped were just kind and wonderfu, I'm glad I live in this great country.

The cafe/restaurant is situated on the top floor and I was pleasantly surprised by the bright and welcoming decor. The staff were very friendly and obliging. There are loads and loads of shops in the Quadrant like HMV, Game , W H smiths , Clinton cards and Debenhams. It can get pretty packed out with shoppers at peak times and especially with the run up to christmas. At christmas there is usually a lovely christmas tree with lots of decorations which make it look really nice. The shopping centre always looks clean and tidy and you will always find a cleaner pottering around.

Shops you find in every town in Britain. The Quadrant itself is quite pleasant though, it has a predominently glass roof which allows it to be very bright and airy inside. There's a gallery cafe which looks out on to the main concourse of the shopping centre which is great for people watching. The bus station also comes out of one end, so finding it is very easy, and also you won't have far to carry bags to get a bus. Or even to get to your car if you choose to park in the NCP which also adjoins the Quadrant. You can also get to Swansea Market via an entrance in the Quadrant. The largest store by far is Debehams, which is a large department store and takes up almost an entire wing of its own. ANECDOTE: I was sick on the doors of Debehams one Christmas as I was shopping for presents and very rapidly came down with a virus. There are public toilets (free) upstairs which are clean and well maintained. The buidling is decorated according to the seasons, and a large Christmas tree is the focus during the winter.

This is an open air shopping parade in the town centre of Chippenham. It has a nice selection of…read moreshops including, Body Shop, Evans, New Look, Waterstones, Robert Dyas, Argos and Thortons. There are a few independent stores and unusal ones like the Chinese medicine shop. It is quite pleasent to walk through and has a car park attached to the parade. There is a nice coffee shop at the entrance off the high street and one by the car park. Chippenham is not very big so you can find your way around really easily. I think this parade is really pleasent and is an asset to Chippenham.
