(Full disclosure: I knew Rebekah as a friend before hiring her as a photographer.)…read more I found myself in a pinch needing a photographer for multiple Yelp events in one night, and it dawned on me that Liz M had mentioned our friend, Rebekah, was doing photography for her cookbook. I gave Rebekah a call (actually, I sent her bf a Facebook message), and she was happy to help me! Before the event, Rebekah asked for my expectations and the types of shots I wanted. We talked through the two events she was photographing, and we both felt good about them. She showed up early for the event and quietly got to work capturing some amazing shots of the event. Then, she left the first event in Dublin and traveled to the second one in Grandview. She beat me there and got right to work. I just opened my photos from the events, and they are spectacular. I know Rebekah's Facebook and website don't boast a lot about her event photography, but I think that's where she shines. She really captured the spirit and the joy in both events, and the photos will be fantastic marketing tools for me and the businesses featured. I'm really impressed with Rebekah's photography, and I had such a great experience working with her. Here are a few specifics of what I loved: -She asked for expectations upfront. -She arrived on time and didn't need much direction. -She walked the fine line of being part of the event but also blending into the background; sometimes photographers are so noticeable that people won't let their hair down and act natural. Rebekah was perfect! -Her photos really tell the story of the events--nothing posed and cheesy. -The turnaround for getting the photos back was really fast--the next day! This was my first time working with Rebekah, but it most certainly won't be my last. She is an absolute joy, and her work is stellar.

Donna of DK Photographic is a wonderful lady, I was recommended to use her through a former customer and friend of mine. The customer also used her for her wedding and raved about her work. So I had to see what it was all about and meet her in person! I met her and from then on we connected very well. Let's just say she was more than just a photographer for me she felt like the wedding planner too. When my dress was having some issues during the wedding, she was there to pin it and make me feel better before entering the dance floor. My wedding planner, couldn't even do what Donna did. It's those crucial moments you don't think about before your wedding that make it a big deal because it's really the biggest day of your life. Let's say I also interviewed a lot of photographers and Donna stood out because it wasn't just her unique style of photography but the fact she really cared about the bride and groom which I didn't feel with the other people we talked to. It meant she values her work and it really showed on our big day. I highly recommend DK Photographic for anything from a wedding to those adorable family photos.

Finding a great photographer was one of the top priorities for my wedding, as I knew the photos would last long after the music had stopped playing and the cake gone.
