We took a laptop into portswoods computers 2 weeks ago with a power supply fault. The laptop has…read morebeen taken to pieces and is still in bits with no progress at all. This apparently is due to interuptions every 5 mins. We have now been told that we will have to pay to retrieve the laptop which will be in bits. The engineer abbi has put the phone down on me twice so far and is now as I type serving customers in the shop whilst I wait for confirmation of the price I will need to pay to retrieve the laptop I have spend a total of about 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve this matter but have been told I do not understand computers and have no idea how a computer business works.

I paid over £400 to have a pc built from scratch (Just the Tower). It never worked from the day I…read moregot it. Took it back after I fitted more memory 6 GB in all " more than adequate" as it still would not function correctly and no programs to speak of had been loaded to slow it down. They charged me another £24 to load a free AVG antivirus telling me I had 17 viruses, well they must been contracted, eh hem! when it left the shop as it was incredibly bad from the first use. Maybe their cracked version of windows has got faults in it as the drivers for the keyboard and screen do not load up correctly. And its all got worse so I now have to find someone to trust, that knows what their doing to re install everything. Sorry Guys two chances are enough. Dave Evans

I have purchased loads of PC bits and bobs from Navatech over the past few years and have always…read morebeen impressed by the prices and the service that they offer. They mostly stock PC's and components/peripherals but also sell things like TV's as well. One of the best things about Novatech is the various pre-assembled and tested bundles that they do. They have a range of motherboard and barebone PC bundles that come with the memory, processor, heatsink etc already installed and tested. This is a great idea, especially if you are a bit of a novice at building a PC but fancy giving it a go. It takes all of the guess work out of matching components and makes sure you don't wreck the new kit you've just bought by installing it wrong.

Novateach is a name known well outside Portsmouth. If you are familiar with ebuyer, misco, dabs and…read morethe like then you've probably heard of Novatech. They offer everything you could possible need for your PC and the prices are usually pretty good - certainly better than the prices you might at PC World instore for instance. The warehouse has a sales office so you can just go along and browse but most people will only be there to collect the items they;ve seen, or bought online. Novatech has a very good website and they offer a fast track collection service. They are base don a small industrial estate just past Port Solent, going towards Fareham (if coming from Porstmouth). They have a small car park and I've never had a problem parking either there or very close by (be careful you do not park somewhere where they clamp you). As a PC enthusiast having Novatech on my doorstep is great - reasonable prices without the pain, cost and inconvenience of having to book a courier delivery.
