I've been meaning to upgrade and wallpaper our powder room for over 4 years. Finally, we found the motivation to take it on this year but had no idea what we were doing (we butchered the first panel). Warning: Do not buy peel-and-stick wallpaper, it's the worst. So time to call a professional! Nick has attention to detail, a great attitude, and didn't take any shortcuts. His quote was quite reasonable and he made good suggestions. Knowing we had already messed up some wallpaper, we just had enough to cover it with no mistakes, but to be safe, we decided to take Nick's suggestion and do a trim and wallpaper the top with a cloud white paint finish at the bottom (loving it over a stark white I see on some blogs). He helped remove the previous wallpaper and primed. He even went out and helped us choose trims, though we opted for something more simple in the end. I love how it turned out. They did some magic with my wallpaper pattern where it looks like it loops continuously 360 all around. He even came back the next day when we noticed paper peeling on one edge (not really his fault, more like my crappy wallpaper). Oh he also helped us finish the powder room by mounting my new bathroom light and mirror.
From this project, we gave him even more, like repainting the scuffs in our hallway, which we were going to do but never got to. We also didn't have a long enough ladder that could be on the stairs. Our home is relatively new and our foundation settling caused a crack along the edge of our wall, which he mudded and painted all around with a premium paint, and even helped us mount a picture frame on top which we bought but never got to.
Then we asked him to mount the 2 kitchen island pendant globe chandeliers/lights, which I also got a few years ago but never got to. His colleague and he did a great job with a lot of patience, even though I know my wallpaper isn't easy to work with.
I also accidentally sent him double the money because of the delay in e-transfer, and he sent it right back. Trustworthy guy and would hire him again to do my other wishful projects around the home that I don't get to. read more
