If you're expecting (and missing) their bi-annual family and friends warehouse sale, which was last held at Brentwood Mall with ALL shoes going for $39.99 each, you'll be disappointed since this is definitely more like a Ronsons Rack experience. But nevermind that cos we're just happy they still have a presence ^_^

We purchased a pair of boots from Mark's Port Coquitlam on October 22, 2025. After less than one…read moremonth of normal use, the sole cracked in three different places. We returned to the store to request an exchange or refund. The manager stated that the sole had been pierced by a nail and therefore the damage was not covered. We do not agree with this explanation, as the boots were used normally and the damage appeared very quickly. Unfortunately, our concern was not resolved, and we left the store disappointed with how the situation was handled. Based on our experience, the return policy and customer service were not satisfactory.

About two months ago, I bought a pair of leather boots from this branch that were advertised as…read morewaterproof. When you pay around $150--even with a discount--for winter boots, you naturally expect them to be waterproof, durable, and at least last for a couple of winters. However, after only two months of normal use, the sole developed a hole and water started getting inside. Today, I took them back to return them, but both the cashier and the manager behaved rudely and accused me of lying, claiming that I had damaged the boots with a nail. I explained to them that these boots were damaged simply by the salt spread on Canadian sidewalks due to their poor quality. In the end, they refused to accept the return and acted irresponsibly by making false accusations. I left the boots with them and said that I have the right to share my experience and their behavior on social media.

I had to call Westen union because my transaction was cancelled. the second person called did not explain why she did it - because they would have told her to give the cash. go to a different Walmart - tried again to get it on my card- it wouldn't go- she asked to give me cash- and her associate was like no problem. I understand policy but this second woman at the maple ridge Walmart was straight up rude and unhelpful. I dont spend my times writing reviews unless it's absolutely necessary. she was awful! do not go to customer service there. there are locations in Mission Port Coquitlam and 2 in Coquitlam! avoid this woman like the plague- 20-27 short dark hair glasses and possibly East Indian desent- I did not catch her name just her disdain and attitude!

I thought that was a legal requirement in Canada, but maybe I'm mistaken. I had to take my daughter outside while my mom waited with our stuff and change her diaper in the trunk of my car. I can't imagine what a huge hassle that would be for someone who a) didn't drive or took transit here, or b) was visiting the store without another adult and had to change a diaper in the middle of shopping. It would be so, so simple for them to add a change table to the washroom. Please do. Value Village has become insanely overpriced in the last 5-10 years. We found a few decent items, but some of the prices in there are absolutely atrocious - the same and sometimes even more than what they were originally sold for! I wish the other thrift stores had an easier drop off method, because I could prefer to donate to them instead of here, but VV wins on their ease of donation.
