He has a good bedside manner. When I was concerned about swelling after surgery, he saw me in his Lexington office the same day. When I couldn't swallow well yet, he asked if I could eat yogurt. Since I am allergic to milk, I did buy coconut yogurt. Just want to make those with lactose intolerance or allergies to milk aware there are alternatives to milk based products, including soy and cashew yogurt. I buy sugar free. His team of nurses, anesthesiologists and ultrasound personnel did a wonderful job! They are very personable, caring, and professional! In my opinion, this is the doctor to see for ENT, and this is the team you want in the operating room. They all represented Prisma Health well! However, post-op the nurse kept yelling at me, "You've got to wake up!" "What month is it?" "February." "No, she shouted, March!" What month is it?" "February." "No" March." She sat watching the monitor, impatient. "You gotta wake up." Sorry, I couldn't and I finally said, "Just get me out of here" because she wanted me gone! Next bed out in the other room my husband and staff were wonderful! I tried to get up and my arms were flailing. I couldn't control them, "Oh no," the staff said. You must wait. I wasn't awake. I've had this problem in the past and was told it's just too much anesthesia. So, I didn't mention it to the staff. But it was impolite to say the least to keep yelling at me. When I went back for swelling, I asked for antibiotics. Since my white blood cell count was high at MUSC ER. Dr. Hilton said it would go away, but it didn't. Urgent Care said "Go back" and gave me medication for inflammation from the surgical intubation and said I needed imaging because he felt something hard. Dr. Hilton believed I had a recent scope maybe somewhere else? It was from the surgery. However, he gave me a refill on the one medication, but forgot the other, and antibiotics. He said I don't need to follow up. But it is still an abnormal collection of fluid and blood, which could be a hematoma that needs draining. So, I said, "Unless this doesn't go away." He said sure, but he is so busy. I waited an hour and 37 minutes, but I understood; he treats a lot of children, and there were babies, one really was needing his help; however, I wish he'd follow up until this lump resolves. He would drain it if necessary, and I followed up if I determined I needed it. Yet, overall, Centa deserves five stars. Nobody's perfect! But this surgeon is close it.

Dr. Giles and Staff have always look out for our well being whether for my Grands or for myself. That was okay. What was not okay that when he applied to the commission to the blind, he had to get another appointment which he agreed but did the exact same tests even when he asked her not to because he didn't have he money for it. She shrugged him off. Since then, other doctors that he signed release forms, commission for the blind, and even social security had been trying to contact her, but she never answered the phone or bother. It seems like she does not care for her patients at all, just beware. Be aware.

This is the only part of my review that ends positively. The offices and employees themselves are terrible. They are terrible at communicating, terrible at calling you back, and don't seem to care about you too your situation. Case in point, you try to call them and they make you leave a voicemail. I have left three voicemails and also used their chat service that they recommend for faster response. I even got responses back saying my messages have been received. With that said, they don't call you back. They don't respond to text. They don't do anything and when I can finally reach somebody, they just tell me that I can't speak to the doctor and there's no way to get a message to his nurse or anyone else. This is the second time it has happened. The doctor said he wanted to see me in two weeks after a surgical procedure and I've been unable to do that and when I call the appointment line, they tell me the first chance I can see him as a month from now. What turned out to be a really good start has ended up really frustrating me and angering me to never want to use this service again. Very poor service outside of doctors. This is not how you treat someone with a life changing diagnosis.

I have had ear issues since being a baby, I was never told that ear tubes would be good or that…read moretaking out my tonsils would help. However, being an older teen and young adult it was getting worse. I went to see someone and they were so good at hearing what I was saying and we did some things to help fix my nose. To two sets of ear tubes. Moving here I needed a new Dr. and came to find Dr. Rawl I thought that this would be a good fit. However I was wrong, I am recovering from a knee injury and have an ACL knee-locking brace on. So moving a lot is not fun and sitting down and standing up are not the easiest. I was told to go to one room and then when the Dr. came the first word out of her mouth was we needed to move back to the other room. I was just in there, she jumped right into that the issues were my sinuses which was not what I was there for. I was there for my ears, i gave my history about my ears and I was not taking a ton of meds nor I wanted to. I was taking a healthy approach to my allergies, anyway, I told her that I was very sure that there was still a hole in my ear drum. However, she said she did not see anything but I could plug my nose, and sounds and air came out of one ear. That is a trick that only someone who has a hole can do. I said that I have issues with water in my ear and that when it gets wet it hurts so much. For being at the ENT to have my ears checked I did not feel like I was heard at all. I canceled my appointment and will be going to someone else who will hear their patients and take the time to talk with them and not at them. They have the degree but as the person with the issues, I am the one who is trying to explain why I am here and wondering how can we help the situation get better. I know great bedside manners and my ENT of 9 years was amazing so this was a huge letdown and as I left there were a few tears that started. I am very sad that I had this experience with Lexington Medical as I have a great primary Dr. here as well as OBGY. As for ENT, I am sorry but it's a no from me. Signed a sad, unheard patient.
