They have a pretty active parking crew checking vehicle payment... I've heard they have no qualms with breaking windows, slashing tires, or even throwing a boot on for the deadbeats/delinquents. I mean come on, $5 is a cheap price to pay for a great day on the lake (you and your carload of people). The biggest draw is probably the sandy beach just down from the lawn... couple that with the great water temp and you got a good recipe for a chill day. Bring a cooler, chairs and some shade if you can! Oh yeah don't forget to bring your 4 legged pal if they're friendly!

This is not a pull-up-to-your-campsite type of set-up. Unless you pack really lightly (like hike it in lightly) you will need to use their provided wheel burrows to get your gear in. It's a bit of a workout :) Getting lakeside was also a bit of a trek due to the lake being so receded. The lake was it's lowest ever this year, according to the camp host- so 2020 will be a short season. Water temperature was wonderfully cool (but not cold). Go soon if you are planning on going at all. Lastly, if you are a bit adventurous you don't need to buy wood here- there is plenty driftwood lying around.

They have facilities at the campgrounds like bathrooms and a shower. The campsites are close to the lake and a short ride to the boat launch ramp. I loved the amount of greenery and tree cover it provided. Wildlife was everywhere, deer in camp, squirrels, chipmunks, woodpeckers, and other birds. I highly suggest checking this place out for a weekend of fun.

We booked two kayaks for $50 each for a three hour self-guided tour on the canoe trail of Klamath lake. This was the best deal we could find in the area, and it was well worth it. We had so much fun, and the rental equipment was of good quality. Just remember to bring sunscreen and water. We booked our tour the day of and it worked out, but I would recommend booking in advance. This is a small operation, and we felt terrible that they had to get our rentals ready with such short notice. They did everything perfectly, from communication to the meeting spot to punctuality, but please don't do what we did and book in advance if possible!

Sheresa was a saint by letting us store the bike next to the restaurant keeping it away from anyone who was around while we went and got a pickup to bring it back home. It looks like a much smaller lake then it is, but once you start driving around it you find hidden coves and fingers that suddenly appear out of nowhere. Each turn of a corner brings a new surprise - a water slide for the kiddies, long boat ramps with a place to tie up your boat, beautiful trees that are sure to fill with leaves and blossom into beauty in the summer. There's camp sites and washrooms - a playground for the children too. And, of course, there's the water sports - boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, fishing. If all this isn't enough, it's really pretty too. Truly, how could anyone not love something this beautiful?

Sadly the resevoir was shockingly low and what would have normally been nearby water views were limited. Our campsite had water and power and everything worked well for the entire stay. There are two dump stations near the entrance. When the park is full I suspect the dump station could get crowded. There are playgrounds for the kids in between the major campground areas. Restrooms and showers were decent. It's a well maintained campground especially for a public one.
