While I was looking through job postings, I came across an ad for a position that I was interested. I called the number, and I got through to OfficeTeam. I talked to Kevin, and he asked me "Do you know what we do here?", and I didn't. While he explained the way they recruited and placed jobs, I started gaining hope again. I had an interview with them on Monday, and on Thursday, I received a call from Natalie saying they had a Temporary-To-Hire position for me later in the day. I took the assignment, and as it turns out, this job was the PERFECT fit for me. Working with OfficeTeam proved to be very easy. I called every week for 8 weeks and all would get is " We have some positions available and someone will call you back." Well that never happened. I will admit that it has been a long time since I have worked for them and it truly has been for the best but, I have not and will not recommend this agency to anyone. I do refer people to a few different agencies in Albuquerque because I truly feel that they care about the people looking for temporary positions and temporary to permanent positions. I literally went through the process of applying for Manpower and it took me hours to complete. I…read morewas told after I completed the application process that I had an old account and that I should use that account instead. I asked if I could use the new one since I already completed the process of applying. I was told I should use the older account. Ok, so I went along with this and went under the old account I had. I had to again complete the application, which took me awhile to complete but I was happy I was able to complete it. I was e-mailing Margarita who I thought was going to help me after I completed this process. I was happy what was next because I have been searching for a good job and I remember working with Margarita in the past and found work before. I always stay at my jobs for years and when I'm searching for one I expect to be able to find a good temp agency to help when I need it. So, I completed the process again and went along with everything I was told to do. I then get an e-mail from Margarita telling me that her manager said if they cannot verify my employment with Uber they will not be able to place me. And then proceeded to give me a list of other temp agencies to call. I looked for where I can prove to them that I worked for them. I e-mailed her back and said I was an independent contractor and Uber doesn't have W-2 forms and I'm my own boss when driving for Uber. I continued to search for prod that I actually worked as an independent driver for Uber. I did find within the Uber app a 1099 form proving I worked as a driver and some other paperwork proving the same. I then e-mailed Margarita and attached the paperwork proving I worked as a driver. I waited for a response and I didn't get one back. So, I followed up again, no answer. I get a call from Margarita saying that they couldn't work with me. She said that I asked for too much starting pay and they only have lower paying jobs and that she sent me other temp agencies numbers and to go to them instead. I didn't know what to say, I was shocked to say the least. After all of the hard work I put into applying for Manpower they do this to me. Very unprofessional to have me go through the process of applying then having to apply again the same process and have me spend time on that and then when I complete the process tell me to go to other temp agencies because they needed proof worked as a driver for Uber... (that was fine that I needed to find this information) but then when I found the proof and sent them the proof that I indeed have been driving for Uber as an independent contractor, they then turn around and make an excuse that they can't help me because I asked for too much starting pay??? Which is it, is it because they wanted proof that I worked as a driver or is it that I asked for too much starting pay? And as I'm looking for jobs on another site. What do I see? I see Manpower put out a job listing for the same amount of money I was asking for in the same field I'm looking at for a job. It looks like they do have jobs at that starting pay I was asking for. So, no excuse for not helping me look for jobs when these jobs pop up. Very bad experience for me and do not recommend them at all. Do not waste your time with them. Very unhelpful, unprofessional and just a waste of time (time I could have used productively) instead I was pushed around, given the runaround and in the end left with no job.

This is one of the worst temp services in Albuquerque, I applied many, many, many months ago in…read moreDecember 2014, to be exact thinking I could get a temp job quicker, while still searching for regular employment. I was finally called for a position with a hospital. Hoping for a job so I would not be added to the homeless population, (which is terrible in this city), and thinking all would work out especially because I was finally called for a position in December. I completed all paperwork and the last thing to do was to take a drug test. I arrived at the occupational department on Harper street for testing and on time. Come to find out the people in the occupational department closed minutes before my appointment time, had a sign out saying they would be in a meeting the rest of the day; my appointment time was 2pm with their meeting scheduled from 2pm until 5pm the sign stated. They had not yet started the meeting, because I heard the occupation department employees behind the window, which was closed, laughing and talking away. When I contacted Excl, they sited I was not on time and because of that I was barred from any future employment with the company. I was astonished by what I was hearing, since I did arrive on time and the employees in this department lied and said I was not. I spoke with an HR person from HR down the hall, who tried to assist me in finding out what was going on since I did in fact have a scheduled appointment time. But she came back said, yeah they have a meeting and it started at 2pm. Strange. Upon speaking with the recruiter, who was very rude and to no avail, insisted that I didn't get help from HR, was not on time, and could no longer be considered for any employment opportunities with that employer. They lied on me, motive unknown, but I have idea as to why I was treated with such hardness and being lied on by that employer, but I'd rather not say. Since then I have yet to be considered for any employment opportunities with this temp service and its mid-June. Have you ever heard of an office that schedules appointments, but somehow has a scheduled employee meeting in the middle of the day, all the way till closing? Since it was the last day and the position started the next day, there was no other way I could schedule another time to take the drug test; AND SOMEBODY WITHIN THAT OCCUPATIONAL OFFICE knew this. I could not believe that happen and still cannot to this day. It was all insane. Who schedules a meeting from 2pm till 5pm in the middle of the day and schedules appointments for persons at the same time; who. It was not only that, but the way I was treated after that by the Excel recruiter did not show any ounce of professionalism. Am I the only one who applied for a temp job at Excel way back in December 2014 and 6 months later have yet to get an actual job? I know, it's all insane.
