Dr. Yashar is an exceptional electrophysiologist. He is incredibly thorough, always on top of everything, and most importantly, he takes the time to listen, answer our questions, and make sure we fully understand everything. We never feel rushed and truly appreciate the level of care and attention he provides. His nurse, Marisela, is equally wonderful. She is always accommodating, responsive, and incredibly helpful whenever we need anything. The combination of Dr. Yashar's expertise and Marisela's outstanding support makes their level of care exceptional. We feel very fortunate to have them and highly recommend Dr. Yashar and his team! read more

Dr. Pathan R. Yashar has been my Cardiologist for many years. I was referred to him by my Internist Dr. Karman Kalpari. Dr. Yashar is not only brilliant, he is kind, gentle, compassionate and he pays attention to every detail regarding my health. I am stunned at his use of modern techniques that he utilizes to monitor his patient's care. I deeply appreciate the feeling that I get knowing how much that he cares for his patients. Dr. Payam Yashar has given me excellent, ongoing cardiac care since he took my case 2006. He saved my life by finding a congenital heart defect after he was called in, when I had a full-arrest, while I was in recovery from back surgery. Since then, Dr. Yashar has implanted a great pacemaker/defib. An expert in his profession, Dr. Yashar is flawless. I've had other procedures performed by him, including an ablation procedure. I can honestly say I have utmost trust and confidence in Dr. Yashar. He takes pride in his knowledge of his profession. He is also very kind, and listens to my concerns. Always, always helpful. Last but not least, the incredible office staff. Shout out to Nurse Maricela. She is always kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. Moreover, she is easy to reach when I have a question. Highly recommended!! read more

Dr. Yashar and his world class team of specialists - along with his phenomenal office staff - at Cedars saved my dad's life. He's been my dad's GP for years. My dad, a phenomenal athlete with over 250,000 miles on a bicycle & was riding triple centuries (300 miles) at age 47, just celebrated his 80th birthday - thanks to Dr. Yashar & his peers. My dad came home a couple years ago with excruciating pain that dropped him to his knees. We rushed him to West Hills (big mistake), the closest hospital. After being misdiagnosed, receiving maltreatment, and basically being heavily sedated for a week, we broke him out of "West Kills." If we hadn't, he would have certainly died. After the "bandaid" treatment he received from the urologist (arrogant, pompous, terrible human being) his pain quickly returned. SHOCKER. We called Dr. Yashar and he said get him to a hospital - any good hospital. Of course we rushed him to Cedars. Dr. Yashar assembled a team of gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, vascular surgeons - you name it - to get to the bottom of my dad's very unique and nearly impossible case. They finally discovered a piece of plaque had dislodged from his main artery and blocked blood supply to his liver. It wasn't a kidney stone for which he received unnecessary surgery at W.H. (WHAT?!?!). It caused part of his liver to die. Long story short...we rushed him back to Cedars months later with a 104 degree fever. Dr. Yashar got him right in and wouldn't let him leave before running tests (due to his history). My mom received a call from Dr. Yashar the next day: "Get your husband to the hospital - any hospital - STAT. No negotiation." Of course we rushed him back to Cedars. He had sepsis. Dr. Yashar moved mountains to have him admitted. He and his team discovered that his gallbladder had deteriorated and the necrotic tissue was poisoning my dad. So they removed what was left of it ASAP. He also had six stents placed (to expedite bile duct drainage - in addition to the stent he previously had placed in his main artery). All of these procedures were done non-invasively!! This has been a 2-year nightmare and if it weren't for Dr. Yashar, we would have been mourning a death instead of celebrating a birthday. I can't thank Dr. Yashar enough. What I find absolutely hideous and utterly intolerable are doctors who "know everything" and talk down to you. Dr. Yashar is one of the top cardiologists in the world. THE WORLD. Yet he is always open minded. Being an herbalist and a naturopath, I've run countless herbal and Traditional Chinese Medicine ideas by him. He has acknowledged, researched, and supported every safe and effective treatment as an addition to his protocol. He is a gracious, thorough and fabulous professional. You won't find that with most doctors, let alone high level specialists. And guess what? He takes insurance. He's always taken insurance - even at his Van Nuys practice before he went to Cedars. And guess how many patients followed him over the hill when he moved? ALL OF THEM. Bottom line: I couldn't give enough stars to Dr. Yashar. We would follow him anywhere. You won't find better. Period. read more

Dr. Yashar is an excellent cardiologist; he has been my doctor for the past 10 years or so. His office is in Beverly Hills and I live in Silver Lake. If you know the streets of Los Angeles, you'll know that there is no easy way for me to get from Silver Lake to Beverly Hills -- it says alot about my confidence in Dr. Yashar that I have been willing to make the extra effort to see fim in Beverly Hilla for over ten years. Dr. Yashar has an excellent bedside manner, inspiring my trust in his competence and his knowledge. I have an artificial aortic valve and Dr. Yashar follows my INR on a regular basis, adjusting the dosage of warfarin as necessary. Dr. Yashar is very friendly and easy to to talk to; he is willing to take the time to find out exactly what is going on with me,. Overall, I am very pleased with the level of care provided by Dr. Yashar, and I would not hesitate recommending him to other potential patients. Many thanks, Dr. Yashar, for your assistance in my care over that past ten years -- I really appreciate it! read more

I cannot thank Dr. Yashar and his staff enough for getting me in and seen even on short notice. After ongoing high blood pressure after giving birth to my babies, I was desperate to get my health back on track. The staff was quick to respond to me and Dr. Yashar was professional and caring. He took the time to listen to me and reassured me several times that I can contact the office if necessary. I took him up on his offer and got a response from him quicker than I expected! He truly cares for his patients (which is a rarity to find in physicians nowadays). Thank you all for taking such great care of me! read more

Dr. Yashar and his staff are absolutely amazing. Dr. Yashar has been my mother's doctor for years. He's treated her with respect and compassion. Several times she's been hospitalized and he's gone out of his way to care for her. He would come and visit her everyday. Even after returning home, Dr.Yashar, Maricela and his staff make sure my mother has been situated at home. Anytime we've needed anything, we have the issue resolved in no time. I have and will continue recommending Dr. Yashar. Thank you again for everything. read more

I never wrote a review for a doctor before. I have had many of them with different specialties but Dr Payam Yashar is the best and his staff is wonderful. Not only is he highly talented in his field, but he is kind and really cares about his patients well-being and feelings. He will change medications as needed to make you more comfortable with the side effects and even find ways to save you money. He goes out of his way to help, shows concern, and follows up with phone calls in spite of his busy schedule. I cannot recommend him enough. read more

Dr. Yashar is knowledgable, kind and patient. He helped my husband during a hypertensive emergency and has since seen my dad and my uncle. I have referred some of my own dental patients to him, and I always receive just the most wonderful feedback. Dr. Yashar has a wonderful bedside manner, which is critical in any field. Just today, I was in the hospital with my uncle after a cardiac emergency, and the on-call cardiologist left much to be desired for when it came to communication. Dr. Yashar took care of things remotely quickly, and spent time on the telephone answering all my questions. His time is valuable, but he always makes himself available. He has my utmost trust for my family and patients alike. read more

I first saw Dr. Yashar when I was admitted to Cedars Sinai Hospital last year. He came by to check on me, as we were trying to be sure that the symptoms I had had were not due to a stroke, and it was determined that there was no stroke. He seemed nice enough and competent, so when I wanted to get my regular checkup (I am new in town), I looked for information on him. He has excellent ratings on the major doctor rating sites, so I made an appointment. Getting an appointment was easy, and I was told that Yashar took my insurance, which is Medicare and Blue Cross PPO. I had suspected that my insurance would be good, because it covered Yashar's visit at Cedars. I was not kept waiting in the office long at all, the staff was professional, and Dr. Yashar was very personable and friendly, as well as professional. We discussed my issues, he wrote the prescriptions I needed, and indeed, my insurance covered what I expected it would. He also had blood drawn to be sure that my sodium and potassium levels were OK, as I take a diuretic, and we have an echocardiogram scheduled in the future. These are the same tests I have needed regularly because of a cardiac problem. read more

Dr. Payam Yashar should not be in practice. I also have never written a review for a Doctor, however, I need to do so now. He claims his 'great care' of his patients, and yet, he charged me (while I was in a coma and could not combat this) that he came to me everyday in Cedars to be sure that my cardiology reports were going well. 28 straight days - even Christmas day. No way. I didn't even have a cardiology problem - but evidently he came for 28 days to check to see if I did. I imagine this was a stethoscope on the heart - which was always normal. Be careful. That's all I can say. Be very careful. read more

Dr. Payam Yashar has been my doctor for several years and whether it's been a small issue or one as big as heart concerns or referrals to neurologists and spine specialists, Dr. Yashar takes great care with whatever my needs. He's not in a hurry to get me out the door, he listens and is kind. My entire family is grateful for his care, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional doctor. I can't thank him enough for all he's done for me. read more

My family would give Dr. Yashar 20 stars. Dr. Yashar has been my mother's cardiologist for at least 5 years. I am writing this review on her behalf. He is everything positive that the other reviewers have stated. He is everything you want in a doctor and then-some. He is knowledgeable, kind, thorough and patient. As a patient, you don't wait very long to see him (he doesn't seem to double book patients like other doctors). In his office, he takes time to listen to his patients and spends quality time with you both in his office and in the hospital. When my mother has been hospitalized, he visits often. He does not over-medicate and is cautious about doing needless procedures. My mother first went to see him to get a 2nd opinion about a heart procedure that another doctor recommended. It turned out that she was symptomatic because she was over medicated. Also, because of the language barrier, I often escort my mother to her doctors' appointments and when I am unable to be there in person, I ask my mother to call me so that I can be there via telephone. He has always accommodated this request. When there have been instances when I can not phone into her appointments, he will call me after hours to explain and give me a status update. If he is unable to give me a status update, Maricela will. She is equally excellent in her service. read more

Dr. Yashar is an exceptional doctor. He is very kind, patient and thorough. Last week, I was not feeling well and he had me come in right away to run tests on me. I did not wait long at all as he saw me right away. He made sure to run every test needed to rule out everything. He has been my doctor for several years and I've referred him to all my family and friends as well. I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me. read more

Thankfully, I was referred to Dr. Yashar by another doctor (Dr. Ari Nowain) a little over a year ago. He is beyond fabulous. He takes his time during the appointment going over everything in detail (test results, recommendations, etc) and his staff is the best. His nurse Maricela is such a pro - I usually have problems with blood tests,(I'm a wimp!) but she is so fast and efficient, I honestly didn't even feel the needle prick. Without a doubt, Dr. Yashar is one of the best physicians in Los Angeles. If you are in need of an intelligent, caring, thorough and dedicated cardiologist, by all means, book an appointment today and tell him Miss Thang sent you. :) read more

Dr Yashar is no doubt "over a 10 star cardiologist", our family is forever thankful and indebted to him after our first visit to the Cedar-Sinai, for an emergency for our father, who had been told by his previous doctor, at another hospital that there was nothing further he could do for our father and to take him to Cedars ER...where we met Dr Yashar. It has been three years since that visit and our 87 year old father is stable and is out walking, doing yard work and living his life...he went from going to see his previous doctor on a weekly basis to seeing Dr Yashar once a month, thanks to his good medical care. Dr Yashar has a beautiful bedside manner, he is attentive and very caring he is also, so blessed to have such a wonderful assistant Maricela. Due to our fathers health condition we regularly call the office and always receive such a prompt response, this is such an amazing office and staff. Highly recommend this doctor, even though a far drive it is so worth seeing this amazing knowledgeable doctor. read more
