We ate some of their delicious, fresh donuts, browsed their store (and purchased several jams, and treats), shot paintballs, went on the hayride, and checked out all the barn animals. We arrived early, which I highly recommend. Parking was a breeze and we didn't have to deal with long lines. By the time we left there were cars and people everywhere. Being early is definitely the move. My wife also tried two of their cider drinks and loved them. They were a little too sweet for me, but definitely worth trying if sweet drinks are your thing. The area where they serve the cider also has a beautiful view looking down toward the corn maze, which was a nice place to stop and take everything in and take afew photos. Overall, we had a really fun fall day here. You definitely don't need to have kids to enjoy yourself. It's well worth a visit, and I'd happily go back.

Customer Service-Everyone was pleasant, greeted us, etc. Food Unfortunately, the kettle corn was so disappointing. We were looking forward to that fresh, sweet-and-salty kettle corn you expect at a fall festival farm, but mine had a burnt taste that made it hard to enjoy and eventually got disposed of. It also wasn't helpful that I heard on the walkie-talkie an employee mention that the popcorn area smelled burnt and called over a manager for assistance. Apple Cider Donuts-We heard the hype, so naturally we had to try, and they weren't worth the hype; they simply didn't leave me wanting another one. Activities-A couple of options for families to enjoy, such as crafts, 2 playgrounds, bowling, basketball, a corn pit, a jumping pad, and my favorite and the highlight of our visit, the HAY RIDE. Value-$70 bucks for a family of three!! It's super expensive!!! Can we talk about those TURKEYS? I was truly not prepared for how huge they were.

There is a small gift shop and a cute cat in sweater that is free to pet, although they do charge $20/hour to pet the bald cat. There are other animals there (goats, horses) and I think it costs more to cuddle/pet those animals. Be warned - this is a small cow pasture, so expect mud I don't know what a fair price is, but these seems decent Kind of a schlep to get there The bathroom is in their house!

Y Worry Farm is definitely the second group. We went on a beautiful October day with our 3-year-old, and it was less than 30 minutes from downtown DC. We loved it: beautiful pumpkin patch, lots of folks but didn't feel crowded, a fun corn maze, and a real "farm stand" feel to it. Definitely recommended for folks with little kids who don't want the craziness of some other spots. No admission fee (for some other places this can be $25 per person!), so you don't feel like you need to stay for hours and hours, and everything was reasonably priced. Great family fun.

The paths aren't clearly marked so you end up wandering aimlessly. There are sunken spots and areas where you can't tell if the ground is stable. There were random groups of people chanting right when we entered. The boardwalk toward the far end goes nowhere and there's nothing memorable or worth the walk to see. We saw a few lotus flowers and many lilies and a great blue heron made my day! Apart from that, a flop! I would probably never come back.

They had more rides than meets the eye, but the space and food options were noticeably far less. But unlike MoCo's $20, parking is free. And they kept it PG and had a live go-go band... gotta love that! They are next to an equestrian center, so sometimes you can smell manure, but that's just nature haha. It was like $7 to get in as an adult, and the unlimited ride wristbands are better for individuals than tickets (if you like rides). It was only around for a weekend, so for anyone seeing this... well, you'll have to wait until next year haha. If you're around, definitely go. The free parking is a huge perk!

However, the line to get in was wayyy too long and moved wayyy too slow. All that police presence and metal detectors did not yield enough speed nor efficiency. One "bruh" had the audacity to TRY to scream on us, "What are you mad for, we're all gonna get in." I said, "Yeah, but we've been waiting for over an hour and how dare you think you're gonna get in BEFORE us. You better go to the back of the line and wait, like we did." VERY LITTLE to brag about once we finally got in. Inflation has taken the fun outta everything. $5-$7 entrance fee, $10 for 3 darts, $10 per ride ... utterly ridiculous. The Sankofa Mobile Museum was amazing ... guaranteed not enough people experienced it. The live band was AMAZING (the singing not so much) but most def two thumbs up for the band. I only saw 2-3 vendors that were NOT peddling home repairs, gutters, windows, roofs. *Sigh* The wine and beer bar was a welcome addition (although the $9 kiddie cup of Sauvignon Blanc I had was disgusting.) The petting zoo was a joke. Besides the 2 ginormous rabbits and the adorable baby goats, there was only one baby camel, one baby kangaroo, and one pig. Besides the prices, I have no other complaints about the food. It was typical carnival food and we appreciated that. The ENTIRE 27 acres is closed to the public (for the entire day) if an event is scheduled. No calendar is online to check availability of the park to the public. The park is also closed on Sundays. Years ago, you could walk in any day, find a bench and take some pictures or paint a watercolor. Now you need a permit to draw a picture! Not kidding. Check the website. I was a member for years. No more.

First, I have to say -- the venue itself is absolutely beautiful…read more Right on the river, surrounded by tons of green space, it made for a gorgeous setting. I was there for my niece's wedding, and the space truly was lovely. So why only two stars? Unfortunately, the management's attitude completely took away from the experience. More than once, guests could clearly hear staff saying, "If all guests are not off the property by the designated time, we'll be calling the police." I don't usually jump to conclusions or assume race plays a role, but when that kind of statement is repeated multiple times -- at a joyful family celebration -- it's hard not to wonder. At minimum, it was rude, unnecessary, and disrespectful to the couple and their guests. By 11 p.m., it was obvious the planner, her team, and family members were working quickly to clear the space. Threatening to call the police on people who were clearly packing up was completely out of line. To make matters worse, we were also expected to empty trash cans in the bathrooms and kitchen -- not exactly what anyone anticipates after a long day celebrating a wedding. The venue gets full points for scenery, but management needs serious work on professionalism and basic customer respect.

The last time I attended the festival was back in 2024, so I was looking forward to this visit. Once parked, we hoofed it to the entrance (it involved a lot of walking as their parking area is rather big). We made some notes on where we parked, so it would be easy to find our vehicle coming back and it was. Here is who we saw: Dash Rippington's Dangerously Stupid Show (not for me). Famous Death Scenes with NoBeard & Gwendolyn (enjoyed watching this) Jacques Ze Whipper (one of my favorites) Knightwings Birds of Prey (pretty cool) Militia Mayhem! (my friends wanted to see this) Paolo Garbanzo (my friends wanted to see this) Piper Jones (one of my favorites) Queen Mum (we didn't realize this person was a character until after we left the festival). Hope to see them at a future festival. Here is what we had (collectively) and enjoyed them all: Chai Shake (White Stag) Chicken Empanada (Kenwood Lane) Crepes (White Stag) Corn on the Cob (White Stag) Frozen Lemonade (Meadow Lane) Funnel Fries (Valley Meade) Mead and Raspberry Wine (Valley Meade) Roasted Cashews (Valley Meade) Smoked Turkey Legs (Kenwood Lane) We took advantage of refilling our water containers and visited some vendors I had never been to before. This is our second time going to the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and I have to say it's truly…read moreimpressive. I'm not much of a Ren Fair goer, but go since my partner loves it so much. I just can't get over how massive this place is with activities for adults and kids alike. There are multiple stages, and the jousting show is truly impressive. My kids enjoy the juggling, all the puzzles, and of course, dressing up as princesses and princes. There is a lot of food on site. Overall, it's okay. I wouldn't say its the best food, but a good variety. There is also alcohol for purchase including wines, beer and of course, ancient mead. Some of the standouts on our latest visit was the free pony rides, and the rock wall. My son also liked playing the many games throughout the festival. One important tip: make sure you bring cash. Many of the vendors accept Apple Pay, or as they call it, sorcery. But you'll still find many vendors such as the soda/water vendors only taking cash.
