When we spoke to them at the Home Show they said they would pour a concrete footer under the versalock block for stability. There was no concrete poured under the block. We had to make them take the wall down twice because it was leaning and no support. When we asked about the concrete footer they poured dry concrete under the blocks when they took it down the first time. They did not put a drain behind the wall which was in the estimate. Their crew was nice enough, but they arrived on the job between 8am and 9am , took an hour for lunch and left the job between 1:30pm and 2:30pm. He required half of the payment up front. After a few days we had to fire them and did not receive any of our down payment back. Definitely would not recommend Pfingston for retaining walls. They didn't get to the steps or driveway so I don't have an opinion on their concrete work. I would not recommend paying half up front.

We've been doing a lot of home renovation this year and I have worked with several different crews…read more Pfingston Concrete has been the best to work with by far. The project that Pfingston Concrete completed for us included installing a privacy fence, digging a French drain with backyard sump pump, backfilling the yard, building a retaining wall for flower beds, planting several shrubs and a tree and pouring new sidewalks and driveway. This work was completed during the hottest period of the summer. They ran in to unexpected issues such hitting buried bricks in almost every area where they were digging. They soldiered through to get the job completed. They were able to begin my project a little ahead of schedule and made steady progress through completion. The outstanding quality that I most appreciated was the open communication. Jerry is easy to talk to and doesn't hesitate to ask questions to confirm that we are on the same page. He always showed up on schedule and contacted me when rainstorms prohibited them from working. Jerry would always keep me in the loop of what items were completed and which things were to be completed next. He would often send pictures and videos of completed work. We've been working with other crews of roofers, electricians, plumbers, and general contractors. It was often a struggle to get these other crews to the job site and to receive updates. So it was greatly appreciated that Pfingston Concrete went above and beyond to keep our project on schedule and keep us updated every step of the way. It was a pleasure working with Pfingston Concrete.

I'm writing this post to recommend Dane Contracting for anyone who is considering getting a new…read moreroof, or an existing roof replaced. We have lived in our home for twenty years, and when our roof developed its second leak, we decided to look seriously at getting the roof replaced. Ryan from Dane was very responsive to our request for an estimate, and his estimate was detailed, professional-looking, and (most importantly) about $2000 less than the other three estimates we got. His crew was here when promised, did a good job of protecting the house and the landscaping when they did the demolition of the old roof, and diligent about getting the new one on, to the point that I had to ask them to get off the roof when a thunderstorm was rolling through, because I didn't want them to get struck by lightning. There was some damage to our window screens on the back side of the house because of falling shingles, and Ryan replaced those screens at no cost to us. Overall, I was very pleased with the courtesy, professionalism, and promptness of the Dane contracting crew. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I will definitely consider using them again in the future.

They allowed us to use their dumpster to get rid of some of our junk. And finally, something being stored on our rafters ( that we were unaware of) fell due to the vibration of all the hammering. It made a small hole in our ceiling. This was totally not their fault at all but they took care of it at no extra charge!!! The hole was fixed beautifully within 3 days (only because layered plastering has to dry)!!

Building a house is not only more difficult but significantly different than just moving into an…read moreestablished home. The first and most important part of the process is to ensure that you have complete trust in your builder and their team. Your builder is the person who is going to bring your vision, dream and place of security to life. They need to be a good listener, offer suggestions knowing who their audience is and willing to be flexible while keeping the process moving forward. All of this occurred while working with Mr. Chapman, Steve Dossett and Tony Armstrong. We started our build remotely which adds an extra layer of complexity, however we found that out of the 4 homes we have built throughout our lives this was the easiest. Each team member brought to the table an expertise within their own abilities that assisted us with decision making structurally, design wise and adding some extras as the build move forward. We had some specific asks regarding features that we wanted completed before we closed so that when we moved in we would have all the extras we wanted completed. Chris Chapman and his team were very willing to allow us to have our closets organized, our garage floor coated and our fence put in and completed. I have never known any builder to allow this to go on prior to closing. What a blessing. Tony and Steve received many phone calls from us never hesitating to answer our questions, concerns and solving our issues. We met friendly team members along the way like Adyson and Luke as well as all the other players who assisted in creating our dream home. If you are thinking about building a home or even tossing around the idea of downsizing/upsizing your house then working with the Chapman team is the right choice. I would challenge anyone to find another builder that would come close to our experience. You will not be disappointed working with any of the people associated with this company. Many thanks to everyone involved who has worked on our home. We are beyond grateful for all your hard work.
