Dr. Ho worked with a family member of mine, who shall remain nameless. S/He was entering the first…read moreyear of college and thought s/he could use some help studying and being able to focus while studying. Being able to see my family member on short notice, Dr. Ho interviewed the family member along with the family member's mother. She had the family member take a ADHD test (on the computer) then determined that the family member had signs/symptoms of ADHD. However, Dr. Ho could not place the family member in a specific ADHD category, but did say the family member had ADHD. She gave some recommendations on treatment and/or medication. Since the treatment would take several weeks to several months and my family member was starting college summer school soon, it was decided that the family member would see a psychiatrist and obtain ADHD medication, then work with Dr. Ho on her CogMed treatment. Dr. Ho forwarded her assessment to the psychiatrist that was able to see my family member on short notice. After starting college summer school combined with ritalin and Dr. Ho's CogMed treatment, the family member got an A+ for the summer school course. The family member even got a 100% on the final exam for the course (who does that?). My family member has been doing very well in college for the past year and a half after finishing the CogMed treatment with Dr. Ho and staying on ritalin. One of the biggest changes that I've seen in the family member is that they are much more positive and have a better outlook on life than prior to being diagnosed and getting on medication and completing the CogMed treatment. Thank you Dr. Ho for helping my family member be more positive and being able to achieve excellent grades in college. Xie Xie!
