We'd seen Jake's name and picture on real estate signs all around town for years and decided it was time to reach out. From the moment we did, we knew we were in good hands. I contacted Jake on a Friday afternoon, casually sharing our needs, budget, and a property we were interested in. To our surprise, by Saturday morning, Jake had already arranged a showing and was calling us from the property! His speed, dedication, and enthusiasm took us completely by surprise. That very evening, we wrote our first offer. Meeting Jake in person confirmed our gut feeling - his warmth, energy, and kindness were apparent right away. Throughout the entire 5-month process of selling our home and buying our new one, Jake's communication was beyond impressive. He set up text threads with every vendor and member of his team, keeping us in the loop every step of the way. Whether it was sending documents at 6 a.m. or responding to late-night questions, Jake was always available - so much so, that we sometimes hesitated to ask because we knew he'd answer, even though he deserved a break! Natalie stopped me from checking the house out and did not let me go upstairs. She made me wait for a few minutes while she completed her conversation with the others and then asked a dude (probably her assistant) to accompany me upstairs. The dude gave me creepy vibes and was keeping an eye on me all the time as he walked me around. It seemed like Natalie thought I might be there to steal as I walked into the open house myself. How racially motivated and prejudiced of her! Note that this was NOT an expensive multi million dollar home; this was a townhouse and had very few inexpensive items lying around. It was extremely rude and condescending of her to not let me walk around the townhouse by myself while I noticed that other visitors were able to walk around.

He really knows what helps to attract buyers, what could be a waste of money and time as well as what upgrades are the most attractive to different types of buyers. Steve was really great at giving us thoughtful and on occasion very pointed advice, but always in the sincere interest in obtaining for us the best price for our home. But at the same time he always listened to our opinions as well as our concerns and when we disagreed on how aggressive to price the listing he did as we asked. When our first buyers backed out he kept us positive, and devised a strategy to keep our listing "fresh". It obviously worked since we received a much higher offer the second time around. The wife and I were in the market to upgrade our home after 10 years in our old house and Steve was our realtor. We drug him all over looking at countless houses and made an offer on one finally. However, when we moved to the Montage community in Livermore during the height of the pandemic, we knew that we had to use JR because as ugly as those yellow signs are, you can see them from a mile away. When John says that he is the #1 selling agent in Montage and that he is an "area specialist", those are just facts. The countless times I have walked my dogs, I can only think of less than a handful of days when I did not walk past one of his aforementioned signs or even John for that matter. John is knowledgeable and understands the market. He also knows how to list prices and how to work with other agents to bring more interest to your house. The attention to detail, promptness, and communication were why we chose John over other realtors. I showed my offer to my agent assisting me in buying a home out of state and he was impressed with what John was able to negotiate.
