I have been going to Jacqueline Estrada as an individual therapist for several months. Jacqueline is incredible at providing empathy and compassion; cultivating a warm, non-judgmental therapy space; providing dignity and respect; and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her clients are well cared for. The greatest thing about Jacqueline is her heart for seeing people heal and live well, but trust me, there are so many great things about therapy with her! She is truly a beacon of hope and strength!

I was a patient of Dr. Alloju/Fairweather/Frankenstein as a college kid. I'd been struggling with…read moredepression and anxiety since I was 15, and now at 20 the consequences of these conditions were having a disastrous affect on my school performance. I went to this doctor because I needed help. I felt like an outsider looking in, trying but failing to be a Human Normal. I hated myself with fury and fire. And I didn't want to want to die, but I certainly longed for an eternal reprieve from the pain. So I went to a doctor. I was in school in Brooklyn but grew up in Texas, and as I was home for the holidays, I started seeing Dr. Alloju. I didn't know the far-reaching and indelible mark this would leave on my life, changing the course completely. I was a bright kid. I read constantly. A bit of a nerd. A writing major. I wanted to write plays and movies. But here's what happened instead: After talking to me for 45 minutes and barely listening, this woman diagnosed me as having Bipolar II Disorder. I wasn't that upset about it because I thought, well maybe she's right and maybe she can help me. Over the course of the next year, culminating in a near-death experience, I was put on these medications concurrently: Lamictal 400mg, Seroquel 350mg, Klonopin 2mg twice daily, and to cap it all off, Geodon 80mg. This is enough medication to sedate an obese elephant. I was 20 years old, 5'2 and 107 lbs. I had to drop out of college because I almost died from this demented drug cocktail. That was a long time ago and I'm still angry. I'm still angry that it took me 10 more years before I was properly diagnosed as ADHD and on the autism spectrum. I didn't need to be on those drugs. I just didn't. When I told her they weren't working, she'd just increase the dosages. Once, during a phone session, she said I sounded drunk and went a step further to label me as an alcoholic. I didn't really drink at the time; my words were slurred because of the sedating medication. The irony, of course, is that Dr. Alloju has multiple DUIs and was on some sort of probation while treating me. I only have flashbulb memories from an entire year of my life. Apparently I almost died from an overdose of these medications. It took many years to try and get my life back from this monster. This is all to say, this woman will destroy your mind, body, and spirit. And she almost ended my life. What she did to me was criminal. Not just malpractice, although it was also that, but it was a deeply immoral negligence and breach of trust. At least if she *had* killed me she might not be practicing to this day. Stay. Away.

I gave them a chance to make it right, but this is what they want. I recall with great clarity,…read moreinforming Dr. Vishal Shah of my chronic back pain and the fact that I have been prescribed Opioids for my condition. I even recall him discussing with me potential interactions with the Opioids and my ADHD medication that he prescribes me. I had to change health insurance and when I did, it became extremely difficult to get my Opioid medication refilled. So, I decided instead of paying out-of-pocket to see my old pain doctor who was previously in-network, to wean myself off my Opioids using the medication I had and I also requested that Dr. Shah prescribe me Valium to make it easier. Dr. Shah did send out the prescription, like he has occasionally done in the past. Its worth noting, I do have an underlying anxiety disorder which I take Valium for occasionally. When the pharmacy received the script, they refused to fill it. They cited the dangers of mixing Opioids and Benzos. Which is interesting because that same exact pharmacy has filled prescriptions in the past for Opioids and Benzos in the same month. The pharmacist himself told me that Dr. Shah would have to resend the Valium prescription attached with a note of him acknowledging that I am taking Opioids at the same time. Mind you I'm weaning myself off and I'm not taking my regular doses for my pain medication. Dr. Shah did not re-send the prescription. The pharmacist that I spoke with over the phone informed me that Dr. Shah himself said that he was unaware of me taking Opioids in the first place. A lie. A lie, so he can seemingly wash his hands of my dicey situation and free himself of liability. Yes, that is what he may have thought, instead this issue will be publicized all over the Internet and reported to the TMB. All I wanted was an apology. That was too much to ask for, so here is what I promised. At this time, I am no longer taking any Opioids. It was a painful process accompanied with poor sleep. alḤamdulillāh, I'm better now with my physical therapy and living Opioid free, no thanks to Prime Behavioral Health.

It was getting in the way of friendships and work and ruining everything, so I decided to seek help. I decided to give lisas office a call and her assistant sandy set me up with my first appointment. Sandy is a very nice lady and always answers the phone and always maintains a friendly and professional attitude. She also always offers drinks when you come in. The first time I went to see lisa lisa sat me down and asked me what was going on. I explained to her my issue and told her I wanted a solution that did not involve none or little medication. After having said that she still recommended I get on medication. Not to mention the first conversation I had with her felt like she was reading off a script and she did not care. It seemed like her focus was to throw pills at me and get me out of there. None the less I took the script and filled it and started taking the medication she prescribed. The medication helped a little but I did not like the side effects. So on my next visit she gave samples of another medication and I started taking those. When I saw her again she forgot she had given me the samples and was going to prescribe me the first medication with the bad side effects. Very unprofessional if you ask me. And she did it again on another visit. She writes pages when speaking with her but forgets details and information about your issues and what medication you are on. I mean what is she writing down on that yellow notebook if she forgets what pills you are taking? I don't know just my experience. Maybe I just don't know how to communicate. Or I am just picky. She did give me a few discounts. And she is very pretty. She is always wearing skirts and has her legs shaved. If you want a hot physiatrist she's the one for you. But if your looking for top quality care seek else where.
