I had some sparks fly on a dryer and when I plugged it back in it didn't work. He arrived and checked the breaker box and it had tripped, so that was an easy fix. That was a big oops on my end. I talked to him about a old plug and wiring that needed to be removed, 10 wall plugs that needed to be changed to 3 prong plugs and then I talked to him about a counter top and if he could cut the sink hole out and transfer the sink. He stated that he could get it done, but seemed hesitate about the counter. I asked a price and he quoted $200 for everything including the counter. We left to purchase the counter top. I sensed he was a bit timid about the counter, so I asked again if he was confident he could do it. He said he didn't trust himself to do it, which I appreciate his honesty. He was changing out the plugs and was very agitated with them. He said it was like doing surgery. I told him he didn't need to do them all if it was too difficult. I expressed I don't want to spend $200 on plugs, since he couldn't do the counter. He said oh yeah, you don't and I said no. So when he finished the plugs I asked how much. He said well I originally came out for the dryer. I said ok what would be the service fee. He said $100. Then he said he will take $180. $180 to flip a breaker and install 10- 3 prong plugs! I couldn't believe it, I paid him, but couldn't believe it, especially after expressing I didn't want to pay $200 for plugs. Makes me wonder if he would have done the whole job we originally discussed would he have added in $100 service fee for the dryer also without ever informing me first? Or was it then that all he had to do was the plugs and remove the old one so he had to find something else to charge for? I don't know. I feel like it was a bait and switch. After he left, I saw that he left the old plugs, plates and trash under each plug-in in every room and he never removed the old plug and wiring. I text him about it immediately and sent a picture. He "read" the message and never responded. I am doing updates on the rental and was very busy so I didn't check if the job was done. Another oops for me. Unfortunately, now I'm here leaving a bad review because the job was never finished, he didn't clean up and I feel I was overcharged. I do not recommend.
