After two surgeries and severe pain for more than eight weeks., he took quick action and realized I had a bone infection in my jaw. He has worked with me every week for over eight weeks and given the total of four months that I was dealing with this problem, I have quickly improved since my surgery with him after the less than stellar experience with the previous oral surgeon. Not only did he help me identify the problem, but he continued to call me personally, on his cell while on vacation or during the past eight weeks at any point just to check in. He has a true care in his patients and making sure that they actually are doing better. I highly recommend him to anyone. I also have to mention how wonderful his staff is. They all have been wonderful to deal with and Joelle at the front desk is a true gem.

Easy to find office, friendly, helpful staff. My first appointment I was fighting a sinus infection-so we decided to wait until that cleared to do my surgery. Dr. Hambleton was down to earth and explained my options. So when I went in this week for the actual surgery, one of his staff sat with me to go over my paperwork-in case I had any questions. I chose NOT to be put under, and rather go with just local anesthesia. I really liked having that option. I got to choose the music playing during my surgery which was a nice surprise too! Surgery went better than I had hoped, and Dr Hambleton apologized for it taking too long-as he was making sure it was perfect. In my calculations the surgery was less than 35 minutes-which wasn't long in my opinion. I am still only a few days out, but I can say I'm very happy with my treatment. Dr called day after to check in too (very rare anymore, but so welcomed!)

I have been wondering if they can help my forehead lines for quite some time now. I was a bit nervous when I went in for my first injections. But I shouldn't have been, Dr. Colm was very skilled. I could not feel the injections at all and we were all done in five minutes. I'll admit I would have liked to see immediate results but such is the product of Botox. It can take up to two weeks to show final results. I could see improvement everyday but at two weeks I could really see the difference. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Shannon was the assistant I had and she made me feel very comfotable with the procedure. I would recommned Botox and especially Dr. Colm to anyone interested in looking younger.

I rarely keave negative reviews, but my experience at 5280 Oral Surgery and dental implants was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. The front desk staff is awfull, do not tell them anything you don't want the office manager to know, The dentist doesn't explain anything to you. If you want a dentist that cares do not see this dentist. To make matters worse, the procedure I came in for was getting an implant, so first thing was to pull my teeth on April of 2022 and then I had to wait 4 months for it to heal, then he did the bone graft and I had to wait another 4 months and then he put the implant in and I had to wait another 4 months. So far I had to wait 1 year before I could put a cap on. Then I went to my dentist to get a cap and he did not use the right material and the bone was decaying which has nothing to do with the wrong material. My dentist called this dentist and he told him that the bone was decaying so he said he would take care of the tooth for free. He removed the implant and did the bone graft again and I had to wait another 4 months and when I went back he took an xray and he said he had to do another bone graft. After he added another bone graft I had to wait another 4 months. When I went up front and asked a simple question from the staff of why he didn't put enough bone the first time and was told by one of the nurses that 25% of the time this happens, The next time I went in, I was chewed out by the office manager and she told me that I am ungrateful and he is doing this work for free and I should find another surgeon and I have a cheap dentist and it's my body that is messed up and not the dentist's work. On 11/23/2025 I received a package from 5280 oral surgery with all of my records and he stated that the office dropped me as a patient. On 12/16 I had an appointment for an xray of the bone graft and no one called me to say that my appointment was cancelled. When I showed up on time, he made me wait an hour and all the patients were gone and he said I am not his patient anymore and he will not do anything for me and when I asked for my back he said no and my dentist did not use the correct material and that's why the bone was failing which make no sense and it's not true after talking to multiple surgeons. I did find a much better surgeon who guarantees his work. If your dentist refers you to this office, don't go and save yourself from a headache and dealing with unprofessional staff. Overall, I left 5280 oral surgery feeling like just another number rather than a patient whose teeth mattered. Stay away from this office and they don't have a professional office staff.

I am a senior university student who is completing a pre-med degree, and I have above-average…read moreknowledge of what constitutes good medical practice. My selection of this dental practice was based solely upon their use of IV sedation and emphasis on gentle care for patients with a high level of anxiety about dentists. On Oct. 21st, 2013 I went there for multiple extractions and periodontal gum cleaning and treatment. Dr. Richard McLain, D.D.S. (who is now a partner of Dr. Boyd Tomasetti) was the surgeon partnering with Southbridge Dentistry dentist Dr. Stephen Barker for the operation. First, Dr. McLain's staff incorrectly identified one molar scheduled for extraction. Only my due diligence and firsthand knowledge of anatomical numbering of human teeth prevented the extraction of a perfectly healthy tooth, as I carefully reviewed the pre-op forms. The anesthesia was incorrectly administered. I became conscious during the procedure and could feel and hear everything being done to me, to include even the conversations between doctors and assistant. I was paralyzed enough so that I was unable to communicate, yet fully aware of what was happening to me. At one point, I was choking and unable to breathe due to misplacement of the apparatus used to collect rinse water and blood. I endured an utterly HORRIFIC, nightmarish experience. I awoke fully in tears, terrified, which was noted by the assistant and my wife Pamela who was also present. Dr. McLain immediately talked to me, and rather than showing concern for my condition, made excuses for the failure of my IV sedation to include dismissing my recollection entirely. I was now utterly terrified and left as quickly as they would allow me to go. I strongly advise anyone who wants comfortable, pain-free dentistry NOT to go to Tomasetti and McLain Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They will hurt you!
