Any issues you have will be downplayed and dismissed. Staff is extremely unprofessional. Middle eastern staff is blatantly racist and will blame any issues you have on drug use. When asked for complaint forms I was denied. When asked for names to file a complaint I was ignored AND the staff all removed there badges. Asked to speak with a patient advocate on multiple days while a patient and was ignored. I've had to file two formal state complaints. They also make disrespectful comments and jokes about patients and inappropriate remakes to each other. I went here as it was the closet hospital and it was an emergency but I'd rather risk the distance than risk my life in their care. And I'd strongly urge any other black Americans to do so. And no this isn't me being "racist", my initial complaint was a black nurse. The hospital has poor care and poor bedside manner in general, race aside.

They make you wait forever to see a doctor but charge you $50 if you are more than 10 min late and they won't see nor speak to you till you pay the $, whether you owe it or not. They charge 3 percent for credit cards. They are not affiliated with any hospital system so nothing is on a my chart, they don't give you any paperwork, they don't do reminders for visits, it is NOT patient friendly. What year is this? PT/OT clinic is great and with the injuries and surgeries I have going there a year. I strongly recommend Dr Jeffery Michaelson of The Core Institute in Novi, who is honest, said he wouldn't operate because what I needed was beyond his abilities (and referred me to two trauma clinics. I can't imagine that happening at Mendelsson Kornblum.
