I have been to several chiropractors over three decades, and Dr. Alfredo stands out as the best of all of them! He is an excellent chiropractor with a high level of skill and professionalism, and he immediately understood my condition and the precise amount of adjusting force required to correct it. Other practitioners have tended to use too much force when adjusting my small frame the first time, often leaving me quite sore, but I am very happy with the treatments I have received from Dr. Alfredo, which we very comfortable and have completely alleviated my symptoms. One of the best things about this practice is the fact that they have the ability to do x-rays in the office, which is unusual in my experience, and greatly appreciated, because it saved me a trip to get the x-rays done at another facility. I also find their fees to be quite reasonable. The only downside to the would be the cost of parking at the Bentall Centre, which can be a few dollars to over $15 depending on the length of the appointment. It would be nice if parking validations or at least a discount of some sort were provided for those patients for whom parking costs would be a burden.

When I received my first consultation and assessment, Dr. Killian answered all of my questions and was able to give me a lot of valuable education in regards to spinal health and the long term impact of chiropractic treatment. One thing that is very different about his services is his 1.5 hour group talk. It gives so much extra value. Instead of just asking people for their money, he explains his process and gives a game plan, much like a personal trainer. He also offers free adjustments to anyone you refer, and I was happy to refer my friends and family to him. The treatment itself has made me feel "unstuck". I moved from an active job into a sedentary one, and it has taken a toll on my body, leaving me with bad upper and lower cross syndrome. Dr. Speakman was recommended to my husband and I by a mutual friend. We were both reluctant to try…read morea chiropractor, but my husband's health issues were enough that we felt we had nothing to lose. My husband came to Dr. Speakman for his back issues, which Dr. Speakman seemed to resolve with twice a week and then once a week treatment. My husband was feeling quite fine at last but had another weekly appointment scheduled. He went... and it was terrible. Right at the time of treatment my husband felt awful, and walked out in considerable pain. He felt funny in the head, and sick. Hoping it was temporary, he waited a few hours but his symptoms worsened. The cracking sound and feel in his neck did not diminish. The next day he spoke to Dr. Speakman who suggested hot - cold therapy on his neck. This did not resolve the issue and two days later (today) Dr. Speakman asked him to come in for another session. This subsequent session did NOT help my husband at all. The pain and suffering he is now in (and we're both hoping it's not permanent) is directly as a result of his last scheduled treatment. Dr. Speakman tried to pass it off as something else but there is nothing else it could be. Dr. Speakman's aftercare was deplorable; he never followed up with my husband after this nightmare. I've spoken with a number of individuals who were first shocked that he worked on my husband's neck when there was no need, and secondly, that Dr. Speakman would perform a second treatment so soon after such severe complications from the previous treatment. I can only feel like we were a cash cow now. We're both VERY worried at this point that he's suffered permanent damage. He may be a good chiro for some, but all it takes is one very serious error like this and suddenly you realize you've just placed your life in the hands of someone who could cause serious harm. That is true of any chiro, I suppose. ___________________________ ETA: adjustments have resulted in ongoing physical and cognitive issues in my husband. We are devastated. We will NEVER recommend any chiropractic treatment to anyone. And I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone with poor after care practices and attempts at passing problems (resulting from treatment) on to some other factor that clearly doesn't exist.

I can't believe he was able to fix all of the issues with my lower back (due to overuse & sports, not an injury) when no one else has been able to. I no longer wake up every morning stiff and feeling crippled from my workout the night before. And in fixing my back, my knees are now also pain free! OMG! I honestly can't believe it. I have been to countless physios, chiro's, osteo's, RMT's for over 30 years and no one has fixed me up like Dr Hunter.
