About a year later, I met with of Dr Bauer. I met with him a few times before the surgery and for follow up. Surgery went well. Recovery went well. I did have some difficulties. He continued to work with me until everything was good. The receptionist at the front desk knew me, his nurse knew me and he knew me. And THAT is the difference between a small practice and the medical factories. Things have been so good, I haven't had a reason to see him anymore. I recently required knee surgery. Ended up back at one of the big orthopedic practices. It reminded me of why I ended up with Dr. Bauer in the first place. I have started to look at small medical practices like small businesses. Dr Pandya's primary office is in Troy and reviews were positive. I was pleased to learn he was on Rt 146 and very close to my location. He was pleasant, spent time with me and agreed with me that despite my bunions and pain I was not a surgical candidate. He ordered an x-ray which showed nothing serious, addressed the foot pain and steps to take with proper shoes. He was attentive and professional and his staff as well.
