I'm happy to say that you really can't go wrong with who you get. Not to say that I don't have my favorites but if it's busy you're good to go with whoever you get. I can't believe this has been here for so long, and i didn't even know about it. I was greeted and asked if I had a preference for who cut my hair. I said no and was seated promptly. A couple of standard questions about how I'd like it cut. (short on the sides and clean look and gave him a bit of creative leaway) I was not disappointed. Time and care were taken to give me a look that made me decide to make this my new goal to spot. This is a cash only shop, and it cost me 24 CAD. The shop is right beside Great Wall Chinese food. You'll see the spinning barber pole in the window. I think there were 4 barber chairs. very clean, well lit, and tidy inside. Next time, it will be a cut and straight razor shave for me. If you want to chat, they'll chat, or you can sit quietly and enjoy. There was a regular there who they were fully engaged with. giving you that neighborhood feel. I think more people should check this little gem out. Good places are hard to find and keep.

Some of the barbers from 15 years ago still here (apparently one has 40+ years in the same place). Old fashioned style - needed to figure that out years ago. If you want a specific barber you sit behind their chair and "they know you're there for them". If you just walk in grab a seat, hang your coat and enjoy the ambiance. I waited only 5 minutes and the main guy (kind of like a quarterback) waved me into Cosmo's chair. Shave first - lotion, hot towels, shave cream, more shave cream, straight razor shave, cold towels, that bracing aftershave. All the smells - the talc, the aftershave, all brought back memories from 20 years ago. Great hair cut - one of the best I have had in the last 5 years. Attention to detail, not trying to get you out as fast as possible to turn his chair. Cosmo I'll be back. Highly recommend if you want that authentic, pampered barbershop experience.

That was the hair salon across the parking lot I went to after you rudely dismissed me like the plague for approaching your empty salon at the end of the day (with cash) stupidly looking for a barber.
