He promptly scheduled me for an infusion this week and that's what I had today. There is plenty of parking, a large lobby, and even a vending machine for snacks if your infusion takes a while like mine did! Let me preface I have a horrible fear of needles, so this kind of place is a nightmare for me. When I told the nurses and the people who draw blood, they were so quick to make me as comfortable as possible. Kris, the nurse manager, was able to find a vein in my baby sized veins. She was so patient, kind, and compassionate. I get anxiety about being a burden since I can be difficult, but she didn't make me feel that way for a second. Another honorable mention is the nurse I had, Jasmine, who was so attentive and supportive. She explained things very thoroughly and made me feel confident in the treatment I was getting. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Overall, if you come here, be assured you'll have some great care with professionals who lead with compassion and patience. No one wants to go to a cancer center, but the nurses and doctors change that once you meet them.

She reached and grabbed the pen out of the sharps container and set it on a " sterile tray" that was holding all of the equipment and supplies for the procedure I was about to have done. 3. The professionals were giving allergy shots through a window that was between a treatment room and the waiting room. They frequently were leaving vials and syringes preloaded and unattended within reach of all people in the waiting room. 4. The professionals left their computers unattended with personal medical information breaking HIPAA. The computer screens did not have privacy screens on them and were left in view of people in the waiting room. 5. The medical professionals were asking medically sensitive questions inside of a patient room that led into the waiting room (previously stated open window leading to the waiting room), which is also in violation of HIPAA. 6. After they performed the allergen pricks, they would send you back to the waiting room -- not supervising you to see if you have an allergic reaction. We had the opportunity to visit with Pediatric ENT, Dr. Daniel Wohl, and his wife, Cindy. Since it was a holiday, we were disappointed that we could not book any tours in Jacksonville or St Augustine. Dr. Wohl stepped up to the plate and offered us a tour of his state-of-the-art medical facility. We were so impressed with how well thought out their office is. The waiting room, which included a homework area, an educational play area, along with the most beautiful, Key West style, "waterless" fish tank (that was impressive), as well as a very colorful check-in reception desk. All of the artwork in the office was tasteful and had special meaning with the purpose of creating a warm and inviting environment. They offer audiology services, including a full-sized sound booth testing area. The examining rooms were all unique and designed to make children feel comfortable and safe. All the rooms are equipped with everything needed to professionally care for their patients. We wrapped up our tour with a special treat... Dr. Wohl was able perform a live demonstration on how he checks a patient's ears. Vivian O. volunteered to be the patient. I was very impressed with Dr. Wohl's examination, his demeanor, and how he offered advice in an easy to understand manner. Thank you Dr. Wohl and Office Manager, Cindy, for an amazing tour of your facility. If I was a kid, this would be the first Doctor's office that I would actually look forward to going to.

A few years ago Dr Truty was the only doctor who could diagnose that my back and hip pain was related to a need for a hip replacement. Prior to that time, I had spent years with other doctors who kept treating my pain as a result of a back fracture that I had when I was younger. They sent me to pain management doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapy without finding the root issue. Dr Truty diagnosed me correctly so the pain I had for 15 years was finally gone with when my hip was replaced. I receive excellent care and attention from Dr Truty for all my medical needs.
