Thank goodness I had some cream from my previous dermatologist. I would not go back. The fact that I was a new patient, she clearly had not checked my chart that was sent to her. Really didn't seem to care that I was new. Mainly wanted me to do a total face cream peel, change my 7 year swimming time and add a vitamin to help prevent actinic keratosis. Really just not my type of doctor. I was in and out in 15 minutes and not even close to what a first visit should be. Will try another dermatologist in a few months.

This is very frustrating as there is very little street parking and the rates in the building are astronomical so to add salt to the wound there can be a $20.00 parking fee. I feel I am very rushed through the actual 10 minute time actually spent with her. I'm not given the chance to discuss other issues than the cancer skin check. I have seriously considered jumping ship to another doctor but I hate to throw away the history I have built up with her.

Due…read moreto repeated and highly concerning conduct, I believe Jamie's conduct, as well as Dr. Jennifer Ahdout's conduct and practices, SERIOUSLY LACK ETHICS, MORALS and INTEGRITY. In my experience, Dr. Jennifer Ahdout performed BOTCHED work and then attempted to GASLIGHT me about its appearance by BLATANTLY suggesting that the area had already looked that way before the procedure. During two separate conversations, she stated, "There are no before photos," even after I told her that her own assistant had taken before photos on my phone. Those photos CLEARLY show that the area did not look that way before her botched work. Further, when I raised the issue of a refund, Jamie first attempted to SILENCE, then attempted to COERCE even going so far as to MANIPULATIVELY and UNETHICALLY suggest that the physical discomfort I was experiencing was normal. Jamie then attempted - yet again COERCIVELY and MANIPULATIVELY to reduce the amount owed even noting that Dr. Jennifer Ahdout said the amount was less even though Dr. Ahdout had already confirmed the correct amount with me directly TWICE - once during a follow up visit and again a second time a day prior to the phone conversation with Jamie. Then Jamie finally agreed to the correct amount, and ultimately refused to issue the refund without requiring me to sign a release form. I am leaving this review in addition to my review of Dr. Jennifer Ahdout because this matter is twofold. Dr. Jennifer Ahdout stated that she is "just an employee", but that she will talk to Jamie when I voiced my concerns about how Jamie became immediately aggressive when I mentioned a refund. The Roxbury Institute collected the money for her work, yet has been extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and greedy, in my opinion, regarding the refund. Dr. Ahdout also promised to get back to me but has remained silent and has done nothing to ensure that I receive a refund for the botched work she performed. In my experience, Dr. Jennifer Ahdout performed a botched job, and the Roxbury Institute has refused to properly refund me for it. It's also a large amount. Instead of standing behind its work and simply returning the substantial amount of money I paid for the botched treatment, I have been forced to go back and forth with the office and my bank for weeks. Jamie has been aggressive, rude, and unprofessional, and, in my opinion, extremely dishonest, shady and greedy throughout this process. Sge even went as far as providing false information that even Dr. Ahdout agreed was false. The office has repeatedly made what should have been a straightforward refund unnecessarily difficult and has attempted to avoid returning a large amount of money that I believe is clearly owed to me. Jamie finally agreed to the amount, but was attempting to force me to sign a release form. I refused. She says that can't refund without a release form. In my experience and opinion, this conduct reflects a serious lack of integrity and ethics. A professional office should perform competent work, stand behind that work, and promptly make things right when something goes wrong. not put a customer through weeks of unnecessary back and forth to recover her own money. I highly recommend finding a professional office that provides competent treatment, treats its customers with respect, honors its work, and takes responsibility when that work is not performed properly.

In recent years, I much enjoyed Dr. Christine Kim's attending to my predisposition to cancer-related skin issues. I became really upset, however, last year. In July, I had heard nothing for 6 weeks from the Group about a biopsy and largely assumed that there was no issue since they typically call or snail-mail if there is within a week or two. To be certain, though, I called the Group office. I was shocked to learn that it was precancerous, that it needed to be removed, and that attempts to inform me on this were only made through one phone number with a full voice mail. I imagine that most people, like me, want pre-cancerous stuff removed at the earliest opportunity, even if "not serious." Given my long history with them (and pre cancer), the Group had multiple contact info for my home, my email, and my employer -- so an excuse about my voice mail being full struck me as both lame and offensive. I felt the Group was remiss not making some added reasonable attempts to notify me of a pre-cancer condition. Had I not called, would I ever have been informed? When I later saw Dr. Kim and inquired about the faux pas, no apology, only excuses. Disheartening. I left their office wondering if the world is so litigious that physicians or their staff can't even say I'm sorry without fear of some adverse action. Sad. Had someone said to me, 'I'm sorry' I would have accepted that, but my dermatology needs are handled elsewhere now. When medical professionals don't know of or admit to a problem, that's much worse and potentially dangerous than acknowledging we're all human so a problem can be addressed and not perpetuated. (And, to make matters worse, I was socked with an invoice much, much larger than any other from the Group before.)

After months of dealing with this I finally figured out what is wrong, but Dr. Lask had no idea what she was talking about and did not invest her time getting to the bottom of my skin issues.
