The food and our experience was fantastic. We each ordered traditional dishes, my wife potato pancakes, "placki ziemnaczane" and I, potato pancakes stuffed with pork, "Placki Maryli" served with a garlic cream sauce. Both were the epitome of this style of cuisine. We both also enjoyed the rosol z koldunami, chicken soup with meat-filled dumplings. It was a bit under salted to our taste, but once a dash of salt was added, it was perfection. Our server, Patrycja, provided excellent service: available when needed and she left us alone otherwise. Finally, the atmosphere of the restaurant was that if a high-end tea room. I suspect this would be an excellent place to stop in for tea or coffee. The tea we had after dinner was excellent. When we went the restaurant was decorated for Christmas and it had a festive atmosphere. American Christmas carols were playing, one might view that as a distraction from the Polish-Lithuanian cuisine, but we found it enjoyable.

Auf unserem Weg von Minsk nach Deutschland habe wir in dieser kleinen Kneipe einen Halt eingelegt und kein bisschen bereut. Das Essen war sehr lecker: selbstgemachte, einfache, polnische Küche. Wir haben mehrere Suppen und polnische Piroggen mit Quark, Kartoffeln und Fleisch gekostet und fanden alles super. Für einen Zwischenstopp kann ich die kleine Gaststätte mit polnischer Hausmannskost nur empfehlen. Die Bedienung war übrigens sehr nett und auch ganz ohne Englische Karte hat alles gut funktioniert.

In the main dining room, I had an excellent trout served whole with head and tail sliced in half and stuffed with butter and spinach (not filet but easy to debone) I chose as my side boiled fresh potatoes with dill. Delicious. Service was excellent and prices very reasonable. Excellent stop on the way from Lublin to Warsaw. About half way.
