Looked like it hadn't been used for a long time. Did COVID close them down? I live 30 miles south and don't want to drive all that way on a Saturday evening just to find out that they are no longer in business. When they did have listings on Auction Zip I did enjoy going and bidding on items. There were lots of "hidden" items that you had to poke around for in order to find before the bidding began.

She refused to sell things which she had put online as being up for auction, saying the crowd was not spending enough money. I have been an online seller for several years and do my research before I buy. She was pulling prices out of the air, telling the crowd she would not sell some pottery items for less than$20 starting bid as she KNOWS they are worth at least $100 or $150. I know these pieces and have sold several. They sell for about $35. She became miserable and refused to sell more saying the crowd was not serious about buying. I have never been to a place where the owner put up a tantrum and stopped selling things that were advertised to be sold. This was definitely a first and last for me.

You could feel how much it meant to her to pass on what she knows. This isn't just a shop, it's a place built on passion, community, and genuine human connection. While we were there, locals stopped in just to chat, bring her things, and check in. That alone tells you everything about the kind of person she is. Every piece is handmade, often from leftover leather so nothing goes to waste. I ended up with a bracelet made from scrap off a custom belt, and it's something I'll value far beyond just how it looks. She also offers hat sizing and will adjust or customize leather items right there on the spot, which is something you almost never see anymore. You don't just leave with something you bought, you leave with a story and a memory. I haven't felt that kind of genuine warmth in a very long time. Save yourself the hassle and shop at Carey's Lumber or just make the trip to Lowes or Home Depot. Avoid this place.

From needle-felting, handmade ceramic jewelry, hand-painted Adirondack chairs, and beautiful mosaics, this was a lovely visit. I left feeling quite pleased, and stole off with some of Macy's loveliest earrings. Crissy and Macy, the owners, were a wonderful pair to get to know, and it was a treat watching them in action. I'm going to be commissioning Crissy for a needle felted hummingbird, so I will update with that photo later! If you're debating the visit, it is for sure worth your while. Crissy and Macy are very friendly and laid back, you don't feel any sort of pressure to buy, and its worth a stop just to see the artwork!
