Went there yesterday with a racing heartbeat and was immediately taken care of by the staff. They were professional and compassionate and I felt very safe during a very scary time. Husband's baby toe broke around chair leg and was sticking out to side. Should have gone right to the OrthoMD walk in at Quarry Lake but we went to Greenspring. The only good thing they did was the needed Xrays. Taped it up not lined correctly with the other toes. OrthoMD had to 'break' it back in to place 2 hours later. Not a good sound. So for bone injuries head to OrthoMD walk in location first if possible! read more

My husband received the best possible care for his vertigo. The clinic is well organized, environment is very friendly and very clean. The waiting time was minimal, the whole team was very professional, caring, supportive and friendly. All tests from ECG, x-rays to lab work was done onsite, with most results available during our visit. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, DO NOT GO TO PATIENT FIRST - LUTHERVILLE!!! I registered and waited in my vehicle for 2.5 hours to be triaged. I went back inside after Staff placed 2 signs on the door advising they were no longer accepting registrations due to overwhelming demand at 4:30 PM (more than 5 hours prior to closing). I was told there were 20 people ahead of me, but I was still on the list to be seen. I waited another hour and a half and checked back at the front desk, only to be told that I was called and left a message. I had no missed calls, no voice messages, and no one ever came to the door (I provided a description of my vehicle during registration) as I was parked in the first space facing the door. I've been coming to this Patient First for over 10 years and have never received service like this before. I was LIVID after waiting 4 hours not to be seen. I will not be going back there ever again. Perhaps the attention to Patients are not the priority--at least in my case. read more

Great facility been here many times and they've always helped me. Today I sprained my knee and everyone was so helpful.

I had to put a 1 star because there isn't an option for 0 stars. I had to bring my nearly 63 y/o diabetic mother to this location for several cuts on her heel of her foot. (And if you don't know anyone thing about diabetics, cuts/wounds that aren't healing can cause severe problems down the road.) We checked in about 1pm (on a Sunday) & we had to wait until nearly 4pm for her to be put into an exam room to be seen by a "doctor". There was people that checked in after us, got seen and left before us. I would NOT RECOMMEND using this location for ANY MEDICAL REASON! read more

Dr. igor Voronetsky was my angel Nov 11, 2018. I had fallen and fractured my nose, a tooth, and totally tore up my nose and chin. The tooth that broke went through my lip as well, so he had to do stitches as well as clean up the lacerations. I am now two years out and unless you look very carefully, you can't really tell that I had a major injury and surgery on my face! This is BY FAR the best urgent care I've ever had the pleasure to visit. Not only are the providers (ALL of them) compassionate, polite and professional but every single one of them treat you with kindness and understanding no matter what ails you. Only once have I had to wait a couple hours to be seen. The rest of the time I have been in and out for the most part. There's a pharmacy there too so you usually can walk out with the meds you need too! Added bonus- a phone charger that has 3 different ends so no matter what kind you need- it's there! read more

Went in because of a sore throat. They were crowded but I was ready to wait. While checking in, a guy came in with blood soaked rag and a cut wrist. My first reaction was to offer my seat but the person doing check in told him to wait until we were done. I'm no doctor, but I feel like a few questions should've been asked first. They took my vitals and did a steer test. Then I waited for 2 hours in lobby. The poor guy bleeding was a few seats down. As I stared at his bloody torture, most of the crowd originally there shuffled out. I guess someone got off work because people left, but I feel we were forgotten. They close at 10. At 9:57 a guy walked in the door and he was promptly told he was "lucky" because the front desk tried to lock the doors (early) but the switch was broken at her desk and he virtually met her at the door. While I listened to the guy voice his appreciation, she reminded him at least a dozen times how he was "lucky". The guy explained he was flying out for a work trip and again, appreciates their help. No response from the lady, just a gruff response and reminder of the hour. Around 10:30 I walked to the front to ask what was going on. I was told I had to wait for a doctor. I asked how long and was told to sit down. I left. If someone is going to tell me to sit like I am a child, I'd at least expect some concern for my health. I found some (not all) of the staff to be insensitive and I am sorry to have interrupted their day. Next time I will find a medical clinic that offers care in addition to checking vitals. *which makes me wonder, vitals taken 2 hours before a visit can't be accurate, right? At the very least, it doesn't inspire confidence. read more

Brought a family member here today who had fallen and needed to get an x-ray and see a physician sooner than later. We arrived and they took us to check in immediately and then back to the room. My friend was quickly seen by a nurse, then taken back for her x-ray and brought back to the exam room. The doctor was in within a moment afterwards and quickly attended to my friend. The staff were attentive, quick, caring, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They took care of her needs, made her as comfortable as possible and got her seen quickly and then out. Highly recommend visiting this location of Patient First when the need arises as they are outstanding and try to get you through quickly and with as little waiting time as possible. read more

I've been to this Patient First several times and have always had pleasant experiences. The majority of the staff is kind and wait times are usually very reasonable. I think most people would have similar experiences. Unfortunately my last experience was unacceptable. I went to have a rash checked out. I saw a male practitioner who continuously used the phrase "the problem with African American skin is..." At the end of the appointment, after the practitioner had finished the exam and I was gathering my purse, he noticed a scar on my leg and bent down to touch it without asking. He seemed interested in the pigmentation, "one of the problems with African American skin" that he'd mentioned earlier during the exam. He was preparing to leave the room and had already said goodbye but must have noticed the scar as I got down from the exam table. When he came to touch the scar, my back was already turned to him, so I was caught completely off guard. I was wearing a dress. I'm certain he thought nothing of his humiliating language or behavior. Women of color, if you must go to this Patient First, request a female practitioner. read more

Went to Patient First with excruciating facial pain for possible sinus infection. Dr touched my face, wrote a prescription and that was it. Didn't check my mouth, my nose, my ears, my eyes or even listen to my chest for congestion. 3 days later I went to an emergency dentist to have a tooth extracted. Waited 45 minutes naked after being told to change when I came in with a yeast infection and was treated to disgusted looks from nurses as they didn't keep up with each other and kept telling me I'd have my physical examination then demanding I urinate after leaving me naked and vulnerable. I understand having other patients but I don't understand the lack of communication and lack of decency towards my vagina. Left after being ignored multiple times and told to change back and forth. Disappointed but at least the front receptionists were extremely pleasant and understanding the whole experience. read more

Receptionist, Nurses, Doctors, X-Ray Technicians and Cashier were all super professional, polite, and helpful. I came here after a minor car accident to get x-rays and make sure I was fine, the doctor was very thorough, and extremely informative. I especially love that they give you all your referral information and prescriptions right there at the clinic. They print your visit summary and diagnoses, as well as prescription instructions, and you can also keep track of it all in your online file through their website. The billing is very easy to handle. I could not recommend this chain and particular location enough. read more

I like the friendly staff, nurses and short wait. I did not like my female doctor Yamamuto who approached me with dismissiveness. Went there with Vertigo, mild nausea and fatigue and she took blood work . Basically, she said the elevated white blood meant virus. When asked about the Epley maneuver she would not do it and handed me a paper copy and told me to do it myself. As a former Hopkins health care employer - retired, I was shocked at her dismissiveness. She acted like I was bothering her by coming to clinic. Patients should not be treated as if they are items on a conveyor belt! Bedside manner and making people feel safe is a priority. This doctor needs to up her game. On a positive note, the woman who took my blood was delightful and when I called back to complain, the nurse was very kind and professional! read more

I've gone here twice and it is always the easiest medical experience. The first time I was bit was at my job as a Veterinary Assistant. I went to this Patient First the evening of, it was actually Halloween and very crowded (it was kind of funny seeing everyone in their costumes with various injuries/ailments). I was in and out with a filled prescription in less than 20 minutes, even with a decent amount of other patients being processed. It wasn't rushed- just thorough and efficient, from reception to the nurse to the doctor. I just gave them the name of my employer and they took care of the worker's comp stuff. A few months later I went again when I was miserably sick and couldn't wait out the weekend for my regular doctor but wasn't sick enough to warrant a visit to the ER. Again, everything went very smoothly. My insurance was processed without a hiccup, my information from my previous visit was on file which expedited everything even more, and I was in and out in probably about an hour with lab work done, a disgnosis, meds filled, etc. On top of it all, all of the staff members are always very kind and helpful. read more

The entire purpose of Patient First is to be faster than an ER. I have been to this location multiple times and the past two have been horrendous. I have had to wait 1 hour plus and not in the waiting room, but in the treatment room. I have been stranded in the damn treatment room with no updates or anything. It's like they have completely forgotten I am waiting for treatment. It's ridiculous. I will not be coming back to this location again. read more

Going downhill. Been coming here for years when feeling sick or for minor injuries in family. Used to have 3-4 docs on staff, you were seen quickly, docs took time with you, and you couldn't beat the combo of actual doctors, pharmacy, lab, and x-ray all in one spot. And being so hard to see my regular doc, with his caseload of elderly folks clogging up his appointment book, this place was a G-dsend!! Over the last 2 years or so-- less and less doctors (per on-line schedule, only 2 at a time now); waits are longer and longer; you feel rushed; and I've had to get a second opinion/follow-up almost every time-- seems they have a thing for mis-diagnosis. This weekend was last straw-- My son fell goofing off after school on a Friday; they treated him for cuts and bruises on his arm, even though he said it really hurt and he couldn't fully bend it. We took him back next day- they were shocked no one had x-rayed him the night before; they found a fracture. Then they called back the next day to say "no fracture." Either way, we took him to orthopedist during the week- he fractured his elbow. And the orthopedist was appalled at how shoddy their splint was- he said they way Patient First made the splint actually increased my son's pain and swelling. I've also had recent difficulty with the same doctor that misdiagnosed my son on Friday giving me an incorrect antibiotic for an infection I was having. That delayed my care for a week, prolonging misery, as I had to stop the antibiotic for a few days before I could be accurately assessed by a specialist. Don't go here! I strongly suspect the company is trying to squeeze a profit by overworking the docs, leading to quick and sloppy diagnoistic work. read more

I had an extremely poor experience here with Dr. Joanne Watson who basically dismissed my needs and told me to go home and take tylenol.

I don't recommend any Patient First...but particularly not this location. I visited last fall with a bad dog bite. First, the Dr who saw me never told me that the xrays they took revealed a broken finger!! I started getting frantic calls the next morning from the nurse asking me to come back in to have my finger splinted! Two months later, I received an outrageous bill from Patient First for the splint... However, when I spoke to my insurance company AND Patient First, they both agreed that I was not responsible for the money because asking me to pay it, violated the contract Patient First signed with my Insurance Company in order to become a provider. But...someone in the Patient First billing department sent me over to collections anyway. It is 90 days later, I have made several calls to Patient First billing and yet...I am still getting increasingly threatening letters from their collection department. I never get to speak to the same person when I call Patient First, so I never get the same story and the call always takes over 30 minutes. REPEAT- NEVER VISIT PATIENT FIRST. read more

It was late, and my visit was relatively slow (the wait was long, the appointment with the DR was pretty quick), but I believe there was an ambulance taking a patient out, so that's understandable. I had a stupid injury that was accidentally self-inflicted, and the doctors were very good-natured and had a good sense of humor, while still actually caring. I was surprised that it was so crowded so late, and the woman that checked me in wasn't the friendliest, but the staff in the waiting area managed to be tolerable, even while dealing with the entitled snob in the waiting room who couldn't understand why HER daughter had to wait like everyone else. read more

So I don't have any complaints with Patient First's medical care. However, like another poster below they tried to charge me for stuff that was covered under my insurance. It took them months to resolve the error. When I finally got the correct bill I paid it. They lost my check. Got a threatening past due notice. When I suggested the error might have been on their end I got a shocked - no that couldn't happen - from a company that took months to process a straightforward mistake. Having to pay to cancel a check to avoid it getting sent to collections. Really disappointed by this experience. Patient First used to be my go-to place for emergencies. Not anymore. Update: Customer Service at Patient First got in touch with me after I posted my complaint online. They were very apologetic and did refund a late fee that they had charged me, and offered to refund the fee for canceling the check. Still a little leery of their billing department, but they did their best to make things right. read more

The last time I went I had a bad chest cold. It took forever to see Dr. Yamamoto, and when I did she was awful. She was curt, and barely listened to what I had to say. When it came time to listen to my chest with a stethoscope, she did it over the bulky sweater I was wearing (which has NEVER happened to me before.) In the end, she only prescribed cough syrup (which had the same active ingredient as the OTC mess I told I had been taking, only a much smaller dosage.) I was literally sick for the rest of the month because my cough wouldn't go away. The worst part in all this is that the entire time the doctor made me feel embarrassed to even have decided to see medical help and like I was wasting her time. Had to get some x-rays due to a foot injury. Also had to bring my 1-year-old with me. The staff was really awesome. Dennis, the x-ray tech, was professional and kind. My daughter had to wait with the nurse outside the x-ray room-- the staff was super helpful during this. Fast in and out, probably because there was not a lot of demand for x-rays but also the doctor who examined my foot was responsive and quick. Would highly recommend them. read more
